"My Favorite" Card game sent/received thread...COMPLETED!!

We got our box yesterday. Wow! It was like Christmas morning. : ) Thank you so much, Meriweather!

We got some fun games to try--Uno, Phase 10, and Rook. The kids are thrilled with Hearts, Old Maid, and Crazy Eights. Also, we got a breast cancer awareness deck of card (and pin and notepad). These mean a lot to me. I've been posting on the breast cancer thread about a scare I'm going through right now.

There is a cute plush puppy that slept with dd last night. : )

There's a adorable flower antenna topper (perfect for spring!), a key chain, and the cutest little candles that look like chocolates. And, popcorn, Starburst (yum!), and tea. There's also a cute Dalmatians pen and a smiley pencil. Also included was a bag of soap, lotion, and shampoo. They smell so good!

There are 2 fun Disney items, too. One is a MGM Stunt Crew magnet. The most awesome thing is that we collect magnets from places we've been, and for some reason we never picked up an MGM magnet. Now we have one! Also, she made me a lime green DIS pin with my name on it! I can wear it at WDW and now my chances of meeting a fellow Dis'er increased tenfold!

My box of goodies contained...

a jumbo deck of cards which the kids immediately took
an american trivia deck of cards
a marble game called tricky triangle(which my dd's love to play when we go to cracker barrel, only they have pegs instead of marbles, and you have to keep jumping one peg until there is just one left)
and canasta caliente, that I really can't wait to try...we are card game fanatics!!!

Also included in my box ws a huge bag of goodies...

a bag of gummie worms(my dd's favorite!!)
a bag of chocolate covered peanuts
a bag of chocolate covered raisins
a bag of twizlers
and a bag of orange wedges!!!

Oh my gosh! I never realized just how hard it is to write out an instruction manual for a game! I have been working on it all weekend though, so I hope to get it finished by tonight and will then mail my package tomorrow- Wish me luck that my instructions are clear so that my person will be able to learn the game if they are not already familiar with some version of it! Lol

I am having the same problem. There are no "offical" rules to the card game I am sending. It's hard writing an instuction manual! I probably won't get mine out until friday. Sorry!

What a fun exchange idea! I wasn't part of it but you really have me interested in these games. I love to play cards, but I don't know many games. If anyone wants to share some rules, I would love to have some. I also teach 4th grade and it is such a special treat for kids to have time to play a game on a Friday afternoon. Ideas for an appropriate game to teach 10 year olds would be greatly appreciated.
