My Disney Planning Binder

I also want to see pictures, too.

I have been reading the boards for a few months. My family and I just returned from Florida, but did not go to disney (we had a wedding and other obligations).

We have already set the date for next March for Disney.

I have started my planning journal, have the hotel picked out (we are staying on-site)!!! I am now just waiting for August to come so I can book our package.

Love everyones planning binders! I'm not sure if I'm going to make one yet. I think it seems like a must for a long trip so you can stay organized. Do you really use them alot throughout the day? Worth the time to make them? I think I'd try to go with a smaller one...so undecided. :confused3

I have used mine over and over again on multilpe trips. I have a section with restaurant menus that I leave in there along with park specific tips, transportation time charts, resort phone numbers etc. I cange out the ADR sheet, ridemax plans, and trip specific info with each new trip. It's just nice to have all the info in one place instead of printing out sheets of paper that get lost.

I'm in the midst of putting together my binder for our October trip. Couldn't find the half-sized binder :( so I'm using a 8.5x11 one. But it's lightweight and flexible so it'll be easy to stuff in the carry on.

I don't plan on taking it with us to the park each day... I'll just pull out the sheets with our touring plans & ADR's to stick in the backpack. Or maybe I'll write them up on index cards. I saw a cool pack of index cards that are all held together with a ring (I also saw a spiral bound book of index cards). Maybe I'll get that and write-up all the important details and carry that with us.

I'll post some pics once I get everything all prettified. :goodvibes

This thread is awesome! I showed some of your books to DH to show him there were people crazier than me ;) his response? "Yeah, but now you're going to make one too!" Lol, he knows me well!

OMG I thought I was the only compulsive planner. I do a binder for everything. I still enjoy looking back at my DCL Crusie binder from several years ago. I am just now finding this thread, and you can bet that it will be a lot more interesting now. I absolutely love the page dividers and itenirary pages and will be contacting a DISinger to get working on those for our upcoming Christmas trip.

I am a fan of the 8 1/2 x 11 1 inch binder with the clear insertable front and back covers, although I have seen the half size ones (in NJ we have them in Staples, in about six or eight different colors -- so check there if you can't find them at Office Max). Keep the great ideas coming!

I went and bought stuff today! I was SO disappointed in my Michaels. They have 0 Disney stickers in their scrapbook section. None! Not even character stickers in the kid's section. So I went to Kmart and got some generic character stickers. If I can't find any better stickers I'll just print stuff off the internet. Anyway, I bought this notebook/binder thing... looks really neat!

I bought a similar binder to yours! The same brand and look, except mine is 5.5 by 8. It was $8 at Walmart. I've been cutting down cardstock to fit into the binder itself, and have yet to buy some stickers. I'm very excited to be making a planning binder... :D

I got a little 7.5x8.75 3 ring binder at Target in the clearance section for 1.92! I couldn't pass that up- so I am making a new one with this binder!:cheer2:

Just posted about help with a binder.......and looking through some of the threads.....I came across this one.....I'm so excited!

But I did go to our Office Depot this evening and they had the half size binders but no protectors...so I left empty handed.

Seeing all the neat binders here....maybe I can come up with something!!!!

Ok...this afternoon went to Big Lots....and came across this letter size expandable case.....this will do me just fine! I just wanted to keep all my documents together and neat......I don't do alot of journaling....just wanted my paperwork where I can easily grab something! And I think this is gonna work!!! It has individual pockets, and I can label them too!:lovestruc

But envy all of you that can take the time and do these binders....amazing!:cutie:

I just booked my ADR's this morning, and Dh said, well, you're done planning, right.:rotfl2: MOOOOAAAHHH (That's supposed to be an evil laugh!)

I bought a bagallini to take in the parks, do you take this binder in the park with you? I was trying to think of something that I could convert into taking into the park, also.... Or would it be best to have a mega mondo binder like this, and then just make a separate sheet for the day (maybe 2 copies of each day at a glance page) to put in...

HELP!! MY inner (who am I kidding, everyone knows) OCD is dying to get going!

I just about spit coke all over my screen when I read this:laughing:. I stop planning when we check out of the hotel to come home, oh no wait I'm planning my next trip then, maybe I never stop planning.

Oh I forgot
I also saw this new binding system at Staples.
arc http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/marketing/arc/index.html
It uses the "quick insert" concept where the holes are actually slit so you can take the page in or out w/out opening the rings. Except this has no rings, they're more like disks. Kind of pricey though. Too bad there's not a hole punch so you can make your own inserts.

I don't plan on taking my planning binder into the parks since it is 8.5 x 11. I also have the Passporter book (the regular version not the deluxe). I plan on transferring information into my Passporter and also on index cards. :cheer2:

so i said i would post pictures of my 2 "journals" and here they are, the small one is finished, and the bigger ones just needs dividers and a few more info sheets ..

this is the one that will come into the park with me and actually allow me to journal in ..

Both of your binders look great :) On your smaller binder, the clear inserts you have, did you buy them like that or cut them to size?
Thanks:cutie:
