Thank You

I am LOVING everyone's binder...and I will start to make mines this weekend. Friday nights are my Disney planning nights with the boys...too busy being a Beachbody Coach every other night of the week...:rotfl:! Darn Insanity and P90X! ;)
I will be making a stop to the local walmart....I want to find something that i will be able to carry in the parks with me. Thanks for all of the wonderful ideas!! Mickey's Best Girl....your binder was beautiful!

I didn't know other people out there were as crazy as I am! I started a binder without knowing other people did it! I don't scrap, but mine is kinda pretty! My mom makes fun of me so bad! I also do a countdown calendar on our fridge for the kids to put stickers on every day until our trip, and a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique savings sheet for each princess in our house so they know how close they are to paying for that special treat! I think every year my binders and calendars will be more tricked out. Thanx for the inspiration and the confirmation that I'm not a nutbar!

Just found this thread. I have 8 months to get my journal together. I love these ideas. I feel inspired. 2 trips ago I made a binder...it was too big to carry in the parks. But the journal idea is great. Much smaller to carry around and jot down memories

Thank You all for the wonderful ideas! I got a Cricut for Christmas and I think I will use it to help me make my binder. Has anyone used a Cricut with their binder?
Also, when DH and I went on our honeymoon 10 years ago I bought an autograph book at Disney. Instead of collecting autographs my DH and I took turns every night writing about our day; what we did, ate, funny things that happened. It is such a treasure now. So if anyone is reading this thread and runs out of time to create a binder; at least buy something to Journal in. I promise the 10 minutes you take a day to write in it on vacation are so worth it 10 years later!

That is a super idea Brandy- I will have to remember that. We look back at our plans and remember things- it would be so much better if it were recorded though!~nicole

Thanks for sharing this idea OP. I haven't had time to go through this thread page by page but I will. I am trying to wrap my head around how to create a binder for my trip as well. Im not sure if I want a Small one or a Large one. I want something with sleeves in it to keep Disney Gift Cards in for the kids Spending Money. Im thinking just a large binder of sorts to leave in the room and only take out what I need for the day. I would appreciate anyone's ideas they are willing to share with me as well. This is my first trip and I love Scrapbooking, though latley I have been doing that Digitallly. So we will have to see what I can put together, Thanks for the inspiration!

This is a really cute idea! I have a plain old notebook Im writing things in now but I may make a book like this.

I use the half page size 3 ring notebooks. (I saw them again at Office Max)

I have tried 2 types of card holders. Both were really intended to hold business cards in planners. Neither kept the cards from sliding out if the binder was closed too quickly.

I am now using cd holders. I bought some sheet protectors online from Keep Filing & they had these half page size cd holders on clearance so I ordered them too. Turns out they work great for the gc. On one side in the middle of page there is a pocket w/flap for cds, but it fits gc well. The pocket is attached to a sheet protector, so I slip the gc receipts in there.

I have not seen the half page size 3 ring notebooks, Ill have to look for those though. I like the idea of those CD holders as well. Im going to have to look for those next week. Thanks for the inspiration!:cheer2:

My step son just asked me why I make planning books for all our vacations? He will be surprised this year, they look like our Myrtle Beach planners, but when they open it, they will be our planner for our disney trip.

wow, this is the first trip i will be making a planning binder for, and i am actually making 2! one will be full size with all the information i dont need to carry to the park with me and one is 4x7 that i can carry with me and acts more as a journal. This will be my daughters first trip, she will be 15 months, and i dont want to forget any of it! we are also a grand gathering, 16 people, so i am organizing it for everyone else so that we arent all pulled in different directions and somewhat know where/what everyone else is doing :) i will post pictures of my books when i am done.

oh and i got most of my planning pages from the creative DISigns board, those ladies are CREATIVE!

I just found the 1/2 sized binder as well - and some page protectors for it - so my planning binder has begun. I may take some time this weekend to get it all organized. I also downloaded the free disney fonts. Too excited.

All these books look great:flower3:. I am very lucky that my DD is a professional graphic designer. She made me several binders over the years of our trips to WDW. :cool1: She has even offered to do one for our next trip in July. I think I'll take her up on the offer.;)
