My Disney Planning Binder

Both of your binders look great :) On your smaller binder, the clear inserts you have, did you buy them like that or cut them to size?
Thanks:cutie:

I bought them at Archievers, they lady at kinkos was a little leary when I went to have it bound but it turned out great .. :) it's made of all cardstock and the front and back are chip board :) hope that helps

Thanks I'll ckeck out that website. :goodvibes

Thanks guys! Glad ya'll liked it :) and of course would love to see pictures if anybody else makes one. Now that I'm officially going back in the fall, I'm scouting out a new journal for the next trip LOL. Somehow I never have time to scrapbook stuff after the trip is over, but THIS i can do. LOL

I absolutely LOVE your journal! What an awesome way to keep track of all the planning AND archive a fabulous trip as you go rather then trying to recall everything later! I'm adding this to my project list when the hubby deploys! :woohoo: Thanks so much for sharing! :worship:

Great binders!! Did I miss the info on how do you get the "Disney" font for your binders?

Thanks
Kim

waltograph on dafont.com

or go to mickeyavenue.com for a list of all sorts of fonts used throughout wdw like the font for fronteirland, space mountain etc.

I have been thinking about making a big one and a small one to take in the parks but I don't even know where to start. Anyone want to offer some advice :)
Thanks

OK gang, here are some more ideas for those of you starting out. As I posted earlier, this is a 5.5 x 8.5" day planner book that I personalized for our family. (Dissers from the Creative forum may recognize some of their work here ;) for which I thank you). The book zips all the way around which helps to keep everything together.

Outside spine (sticker on the spine I purchased from Michaels):

Inside (notice zip pocket, credit card slots, etc):

One of many planning sheets:

Resort Information:

Park specific dividers. On the back of the title page I put park maps:

Front Cover pocket (great for passports, boarding passes, etc):

And last, but not least, the super handy handles! (they go in when not in use):

There is another divider for each of the following:
Disney Cruise (our first, and boy is this section is getting full!)
Dining
"Mousellaneous"
"Money Matters" which I have included credit card company phone numbers, travellers cheques numbers, trip payment information, etc.
I also made my own Disney notebook paper:rolleyes1
And yes, before you ask, my family thinks I am insane!

Begin building your own planning book/binder at your own risk!

LOVE this

Thanks

I started over on the Creative DISign board, got most of my "pages" from DISigners over there and just tweaked them to my liking, I started with my smaller one, with the want of being able to document EVERYTHING from my daughters first trip. When I found the templates for the 8 1/2x11 pages i decided to make the larger one(i believe the DISigners name is SleepingBooty, something along those lines) and I got the smaller templates from "Dolly", I have the link to her 4shared files saved on my computer if you would like it. I made my dividers, took a regular dividers and traced them onto pink scrapbooking paper and cut them out. I bought the covers at Archivers, along with the clear photo holders, I then had the whole thing bound at Kinkos(about 10 dollars), the whole smaller planner probably cost me about 15 dollars. The big binder cost me about 5, the cost of cardstock(which is what I printed everything on) and the cost of the binder :) Hope this helps! :cool1:

These ideas are all great! Thank you to everyone who has shared.

Can anyone tell me how to find the time it takes to get from your resort to the parks? I know I've seen it before, but I cannot find it anywhere.
Thanks so much!

I got mine from ourlaughingplace.com Im on my phone so I don't have the direct link, sometimes I guess they aren't correct but were just using it for a reference .. Were dis veterans so it's not a huge deal to us if they are off

So stumped. What kind of information besides park hours and reservations does everyone else put into their planning binders???

MiniMe

I put in tons of info...

Overview of trip= dates, reservation number, resort info airline info etc

Park hours

Advance Dining Reservations numbers, dates times places

RideMax Plans

Touring Plans crowd calendars, maps

a page of friends email addresses to use at innoventions etc where you can email people pics you created

I have menus from the restaurants we've been to or are going to from the all ears site

tips, pressed penny locations, Orlando area walmart, outlets, restaurants etc info

Important phone numbers,

Places to write down info like room number, photopass numbers etc

The list can go on and on, whatever info you may need for your trip contained in one organized binder of info. My binder has pockets for our tickets, ME info, DVC card, and pockets for glasses wipes and tylenol packets.

I <3 my binder! Good Luck
