My Disney LO's posted

Melissa:

They are fabulous! You did a wonderful job. I especially love your countdown chain -- very cool! :)

I just have to say you hit the nail on the head! Those are the nicest pages I have seen yet! Seriously! I love the colors the theming....
Please tell me where or how you did the paper piecing. This is something I haven't tried yet and want to! It just adds so much!
The flags.....perfect and that broom! What to join a swap and make some! LOL!
Great job I would love to see some of your other work!

Those are some really great layouts. I really loved the Mickey Mouse snowman!

I haven't tried any paper piecing either - I can't imagine making them up myself! Thanks for sharing them.

Great Layouts! I really enjoyed looking!
Now if I could just get back to WDW so I could do another album
(sigh...)

Really great layouts. I especially liked your Epcot layout with all the Mickey head flags.

Oh great. ANOTHER person who took a trip after me but finished BEFORE me. LOL I'm JUST TEASING!!!!!!!

Your pages are GREAT!!!!!!!!! Now, of course, I have to steal (ummmm--- I mean borrow) your ideas. Love them. Really like your style.

Thanks for sharing!!

Wow! I went in May too and I'm still not done yet .. I love your Epcot pages! I want to post some of my layouts too but I want to wait until I finish ... I guess that could be a while *lol* :)

your layouts are beautiful.

It must of taken some time to put all these gorgeous pages together.

Melissa-Your layouts are fantasic! I too love the epcot pages! Can I ask how you made the mickey heads with flag colors? Did you have a template and trace and cut each mickey head? They look great! You should post your other pages as well-would love to see them!

Thank you, everyone, for such positive comments! :)

As you can see, I really tried my hand at paper piecing during this album. Some of the ideas weren't really my own (like the leaf border on the AK page - got that one from Creating Keepsakes' magazine) but I did my own "design" based on that idea. Now the little broom man - I thought him up myself! :)

As for the flags in the shape of Mickey's head... I made a template using different size circles on my Coluzzle template. I cut out each one as one piece (not head and ears separately) of the main background color. For example, I cut out a white head/ears for France and then added the red and blue sides. That page was the most tedious - but it turned out as I hoped, so I'm happy. (And only a true Disney nut like myself would make sure that the flags are in the same order as they are around the lagoon - starting from the bottom left with Mexico! LOL!)

I will try to post more pages soon! Spinning - now that I'm done with the album I'd love to make some paper piecings for a swap!! It would give me a head start on the next album.... if only we had another trip planned! :)

Thanks again, everyone, for being so kind with your comments!

Melissa I think these are the nicest Disney Pages I have seen - they are fantastic. Congratulations and thank you so much for sharing them. I love the Epcot, the efforts you spent are sooooo worth it for the final look. I did notice the way you had the flags in World Showcase order, by the way!

I would simply love to see more of your layouts if you have time to post them - these are truly inspirational :) :) :)

Thanks for sharing your Layouts, I really enjoyed them. I have yet to start my latest trip album, but there are loads of good ideas in there.

Bev

I love them! How did you make the Mickey heads that look like the pins?

Great pages! Thanks for sharing. I love the leaves at the top of the AK page!!

I absolutely love these pages!!! I can't wait until our next trip (not until January) so I can start on a new album!

I want to learn to do this paper piecing. Those EPCOT flags are beautiful.

All of you that post your pages....do you scan the pages or take a digital photo of them?

Thanks

This is so funny! I had already went to Peas to check out new layouts on Disney before coming here and realizing that YOU are the one that posted those WONDERFUL pages!!

Like everyone else, I really do like the Mickey head World Showcase paper pieces!! I'm wondering if you might consider sending me a pattern for them?
My e address is Gerrinrick@aol.com

They are all fabulous!
Great job.

Hi Jackie
I scan my pages and then upload them onto TwoPeas. If I want to post them on the Dis - I post them on my webspace I have and load from there.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the film strip, mickey flags and of course, the broomstick man! I have EIGHTEEN rolls of film from our March DW trip and I have not even begun to do a page. I've only been scrapping since November. I have a 1 and 3 year old and take on average 2 rolls of film a week (at least lately). With all those, I've not had a chance to get to my Disney photos. Also, I obligated myself to do my brothers wedding album, which is almost completed.

Would you be willing to make and sell those paper piecings? I'm in no hurry, as I said I've not even begun to get to those, but I'd love to have them (or at least the patterns).
