My Disney Experience app

I just downloaded the My Disney Experience app onto my I-phone. We are visiting Disney this summer. While in the parks, what can we use the app to do? It looks like you can check wait times. Are they usually accurate? What else can you do? Can you make dining reservations and/or schedule FP+ from the app. I am still learning how FP+ works. Thanks for any information.

I read through the top post and it states that we can't use the app to do the 4th + FPs ....is there any way this might change anytime soon?
