My chances @ Xmas w. waitlist?

DH and I just decided we'd do Xmas at WDW (instead of HH in Oct/Nov.Jan or WDW in Jan.) I got a studio at SSR for 12/24, 25, and 26 waitlisted for 12/27 and 12/28. I also waitlisted for the same dates at VWL. What are my chances of either one coming through? I don't care where we stay as long as it's consecutively since it's only 5 nights and I don't want to be stuck w/o a place to stay the last 2 nights. We've never gone during Xmas before either so I don't know what to expect . I've only ever waitlisted once before and it was for a 2brm at BWV from Preferred to Standard (we wanted Standard and we got it)..so I'm new at the whole concept. Will I get a room?TIA!

Try OKW for a studio or open it up for any DVC location. Needless to say but Christmas is the busiest time of the year. We are making are 8th visit. We have had to waitlist before, and it turned out all right. You have some time remember that OKW has the most rooms.

We got a 2brm at OKW Dec 21 - 26 but had to pay cash for the 27th. I could have waitlisted but I did not want to risk not getting the last night with other famliy members coming in too.

Don't panic...3 weeks ago I had 26-28th at SSR Stuido and 28-29 at SSR in cash...I wanted to switch to points. Had to go on the WL...but they called me last week with a stuido on points for the 28th yeah!!!!

I am on the WL for 12/26-12/29 at BWV, BCV or VWL...so we are all playing the shuffle game. I do know family plans fall throught, and people feel it might be too much of a hassle, so I am hopeful. You should be ok but I would WL SSR/VWL/OKW just so your odds go up. I think my WaitList for VWL is a long shot...but you never know.
