my castle

thanks ladies! love all the ideas! BUT, i showed it to my mother and she said (not that she's ever been to wdw) the castle is more grey with but turrets! so before i make us all one should i be making it light greyish on the bottom with the blue on the top????
and i'd love to get us some of the woodgrained paper on the latte stack that
calanniebu was talking about!!
what do you think about that???

The castle is a light grey color with darker grey and light brown bricks painted occasionally on my close up of a wall. The turrets almost all have blue tops on them.

so she's right! ok i'm going to play around with it a little more. i think i have a darker grey. i'll have to check it out. i don't know why but i had it blue???

The roof on all the towers is blue- just not the side of the building. I will try and upload my close up picture -I have one of just a brick area with the lights from Christmas on it not turned on. It was for a school project on Main Idea and Detail. I have a ton of pictures of sections of the castle taken from close up with my telephoto lens.

One of my most favorite things to take pictures of at WDW is the castle.

They look sorta like a putty color. I'm thinking Meryl Streep's dress at the Oscars.

i'm going to try making it over the weekend with different shades of gray and tan and making the tops that blue color.

once i get the colors down, i'll make some for all of us!!!!!

I like the textured with the door castle better. I think a cool way to do a stained glass window would be to use acetate with alcohol inks on them. I think that would look way cool!:thumbsup2

ok i'm back at it again today! i am now going to try making the castle grey with blue turrets. i think it looks a lot better. with these colors.

i'd love to try the stain glass windows, but have never used acetate and alcohol inks before. it sounds awesome. i do have some beautiful vellum that might look good behind the windows.
