cad3655........Had to chuckle at your #1, if they are walking straight for you then arn't you walking straight for them? Who should move? :rotfl2:

I was suprised to find that nobody mentioned this one yet. How about when you are watching a parade or fireworks and the dad in front of you who is already six feet tall, puts his kid on his shoulders with out even considering who's behind him!

Oh yes, or how about the kamikaze mother who has 5 backpacks holding spots on the curb and gives you the evil look when you try to step over them to get through to the other side?

Now here are some and I have to apologize for some of them, they're not so much pet peeves as they are "eeegh, what WERE they thinking?"

1. Ladies who wear 5 inch spike heels...they make my heels cry!

2. Large men who wear those tank tops with arm holes down to their waists...do I really have to see the sweat pouring down your hairy sides?

3. Any gal who wears thongs that stick above their jeans pants...oh gee the questions I get from my 6 year olds (don't they know their undies are showing mom?)

4. Parents who bring an obviously feverishly sick child to the park..because they don't want to sit in a hotel room with a sick child all day...I've seen it atleast once each trip...several times the kids are throwing up and any fool could tell the kid was running a high fever just by looking at them. UGH!

5. Mothers or fathers who abusively berate their worn out children or even worse "SLAP" them hard and almost bring out the beast in me to go and protect that child...I do interfere if there's not another adult there trying to cool the situation...but that just makes me SICK!

6. Rude tourons who are demanding the moon from a poor CM who is just doing their job....I've seen too many CM's berated over telling guests to move out of the way of the parade. UGH!

Whew! I didn't know I had all those peeves...is that good or bad of me?? UGH!
Tara

1. Parents who let their children ambush the characters who are on their way to the next table at character meals. Wait your damn turn like everyone else.
2. People who try to squish in to get a curbfront seat 5 minutes before the parade starts even though everyone else had camped out for a hour to get the same seats.

I totally agree with this one. It ruins everyone's fun time including those around them.
I have more:
Letting your children walk around the park with no sun protection so that at the end of the day they look like lobster children! I saw a few of these very unfortunate children on the bus to the TTC once and it made me so sad!

Being short, I also have a big problem with tall people cutting in front of you and standing right in front of you even though you've successfully held the spot all the way up to the start of the show

people who litter. Especially since there about a million trash cans around. Is it so hard to put you trash there?

people who feel it is necessary to scream from one end of the park to the other at their other party. Just walk your lazy butt over there.

ok thats enough! I don't know what got into me! :earseek:

:rotfl:  :Pinkbounc

Just had to chime in with mine.

Seeing a family with a wheelchair bound guest and then seeing that same family all throughout the park with a different person in the wheelchair each time. Alot of people have disabilities that are unseen but in these cases you know that's not what's going on.

I don't mind when parents discipline their children [don't get me wrong I don't want them beaten], what I do mind is when children get too out of hand and constantly bang into me in line, play hide and seek in line - around other people and the parents do nothing.

And of course - what has been said. Staking out a spot for a parade ahead of time and some people just squeeze in front of you.

Thanks, I feel better now.

1) When parents think its okay for kids to swim in the hot tubs (while your sitting trying to relax) come on now! there's a whole pool most with slides leave the hot tubs for the adults.

2) smelly people

3) People that like to cough and/or sneeze with out covering their mouths. Come on now! Manners people ,I was taught to cover my mouth when I was three. I don't need anyones germs spraying all over me in line. :p :cloud9:

People who must rush to go wherever they go.
People who smoke where they shouldn't.
People who use cell phones when they shouldn't.
People who take pictures when/where they are asked not to.

Wait a minute, let me summarize all of these into one statement:

People who are inconsiderate of others and think the rules pertain to everyone else but them!

I have discovered THE "secret" to walking through a large crowd without getting hit or not having people make a little room for you. When you walk act as if you are looking at something other than other people coming at you! Heck, even act as if your just looking up in the sky! It works, and I guarantee you will not be bumped into! :earboy2:

I know in my situation my kid turns bright red whenever she sweats-even just a little-and often "looks" sunburnt when she is just hot. Maybe I am in denial that anyone would let their kid go without sunlotion. :sad1:

My dr thinks this is how I contracted Mono-from Disney! I came down with Mono about a week after we left Disney this last time(our last day was 8/13) and he said I could have caught it from someone there since I was just getting over a cold and my immune system was low (apparently you can have mono, not show symptoms and still spread it). What a great souvenir, eh? I still have it and will for a while.

hi
please tell me what mono is. as a u.k. poster i keep seeing this and just had to ask.

Here is another vote for people who just stop. If you don't know where you are/need to rest/want to take a picture/want to stand there for no reason, step to the side. There are plenty of places to stop and smell the roses.

People who let their kids run down the hallway at the resort. Newsflash: My room is there! Those doors have PEOPLE behind them. Sometimes those people are sleeping.

People who talk too loudly in their rooms. I don't need to hear your conversation. I don't care what little Johnny did today. I don't care that you have a blister. I simply don't care and don't want to hear about it.

People who slam their drawers in their rooms. Another Newsflash: Your wall isn't the only wall...it's connected to MY wall.

People who stomp around. You're not hovering in midair. Your floor is my ceiling.

People who slam their doors or use the lock thing to prop the door open letting the door slam on that. Bring your key with you when you go get ice, please.

Most of my issues revolve around the resort....people being loud and obnoxious when I'm trying to decompress and relax. Since there is nothing to be done about the Turbo Flushing, we can at least try and be considerate of each other. :teeth:

You pretty much covered all of my pet peeves. ;)

People who wait until they get to the very front of a counter service line before even beginning their decision making process as to what they're going to order. "Let's see, what do we want?" For goodness sakes, the menu's been there in front of you for the last 10 minutes.

We just came back from our annual two week WDW vacation and noticed some things that have been going on for years.

People on the monorail who bring their huge strollers, take their kids out of the strollers sit them down on the seats, do not fold the strollers up, just block more seats and then put their bags, etc on seats.???? How rude can you get!! I know why they do it, they want their kids to see out the window, but why do people think they deserve a whole bench on the monorail and the space in front of them?? We've been taking our children to Disney since they were in strollers and we never brouight a stroller on a monorail because (and I guess my husband and I were just plain stupid back then) we always thought that there wasn't enough room.

People who think they are VERY special, much more special than the rest of us. They can push ahead, cut in lines, be rude just because they are on vacation. Guess what? We are ALL on vacation. I espcially hate people who are in a rush to get from place to place. If you are in that much of a rush on your VACATION you didn't plan very well did you?

Don't get me wrong, we had a wonderful vacation. We've been going since the MK opened and have been to WDW in August for 15 years in a row now. It's just that sadly, I have noticed more and more rude people over the years. A lot of people just care about themselves. Their attitude seems to be "I spent a lot of money and I WILL enjoy my vacation". I feel sorry for a lot of the kids because it really is the parents. So many people dragging tired kids around, eating late in restaurants and the kids are crying and very cranky. We have done our vacations different over the years depending on the ages of our kids. I don't think a lot of people do this anymore.

You call a lift.
It arrives with someone looking at the photos they have just picked up, blocking the door.
The doors start to close again, they wake up and step out.
You call another lift

My wife holds a door open for me (I use a wheelchair)
The whole world walks through ahead of me

=======

I'm eating dinner in Mexico, looking over the balcony as a boat goes by.
They take a photo.
I have an image of their flash gun burned on my retina for the rest of my meal.

=======

I'm riding my power wheelchair slowly up a very crowded ramp to the monorail platform, holding back three feet or so to give myself safe stopping distance.

The couple behind see this gap & squeeze around me to get in front.

I fall back another three feet.

Someone else squeezes in front.

I fall back another three feet.

Someone else squeezes in front.

Should I ride close up to the person in front and risk running into his or her feet?

People who crowd you -- waiting for parades and waiting in line. "Oh, I see you've been waiting an hour for the parade to start and your son has 2 inches of room next to him. Would it be a problem if my three kids squeeze into that space?"

I agree. We have not had any problems at any parade except for the one at MGM. What is it with people. They do not care if you have been waiting there for an hour so that you get a good viewing spot.
They show up 2 minutes before the parade getsw to your area and then expect to be in front of you. :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2     The adults seem to be the worst. They do not care if there are little children there they just block their view. How rude :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 !!!!!!!!

It's more like they chase you down...you move to the right and now they are walking to thier left...I've had people walk right into me after I've redirected 3 or 4 times..and the ones that can't seem to walk in a straight line...(like my DS) always diagonal? constantly reeling them back in.

I can see how the original post looks "goofy" now..

mine is when you're trying to take a picture and people obliviously or on purpose as it's sometimes hard to tell walk directly in front of you. Yeah, I want your head or hand in my picture.

People who stand around waiting for a bus smoking their cigarettes and then throwing them on the ground when the bus gets there. :earseek:

The man who goes to the concierge desk at the hotel an hour before the parks open to set up all his ADR's for his 2 week long trip. While discussing his best options and explaining he wants a princess breakfast w/o putting down a CC his two daughters proceed to run into and basically hit everyone else on the evergrowing line. We waited 45 min on the line and he was with a CM the entire time! So annoooooooooooooying!

Also people who go to buy tickets but dont know what they watn. They get all excited about all the options and then cant make a decision. If its going to take you more than 15 min to decide then step aside let us talk to the CM and you can purchase when yorue ready!
