First full week back at running and a good week overall.
Decided to just do a few 3 milers before getting back into my full plan for the summer with some mixed results.
Total miles for the week
Tuesdays run my main focus was to run the full 3 without walking which I did so was pleased with that.
Fridays run I had no plan but forgot to start my watch !!

. Was doing a loop round my neighbourhood so was able to calculate the missing distance. I felt at the point I realised I had not started the watch I was running quite fast (for me) and was even more annoyed I had not started my watch but decided to just send it for the remainder and see what it was. Did 2.56 @ 9.54 pace so if I assumed the other 0.44 was the same it would be sub 31 for 5 k potentially.
My plan for the summer is to follow a 5k plan and utilise Parkrun’s to run for time as and when. I had decided not begin doing the park runs until I got back to Sub 30. I had noticed my recurring flare up of my knee issue was beginning but sometimes it grumbles and disappears and others it gets bad and I’m out for a while.
It’s not specific to running it has happened when I have had a hiatus from running as well it just shows up when it feels like.
Sundays Run another 3 miles. This is where it starts to go wrong.
I got up early (for a Sunday) took a gel and grabbed my new bouncy shoes and headed to the river path where it was flat. I had a pace pro plan for 29.59 and some optimism.
Ran a half mile warm up then set of at my best pace, after 2 miles I was over 20 seconds off the pace so I did a half mile cool down and left it at that.
I wanted to know if I could get a Sub 30 and I had the answer, which is not yet which is fine

A small consolation was Garmin has upgraded me from maintaining to productive

In terms of weight loss 1.4kg last week so steady.
Overnight last night my knee has become more painful so will have to see how it pans out. My plan has rest days on Mondays so will make an assessment tomorrow, although today is an active rest day moving furniture and removing skirting boards as we get the brand new defective floor replaced
Oh and my new/old 2004 marathon shirt arrived it is so cool to have it again and to find one brand new with the tags was awesome. Not worn it yet keeping it for Disney only.
