My 1st DOLE WHIP!! ?????

Well, I tried the Dole Whip this trip and guess what.......

I REALLY disliked it! I got the pineapple flavor and could not even get through it. It was overly sweet and just not my thing. But it did not go to waste since we had a "landshark" (a/k/a my niece) who LOVED it and ate the whole thing, which by the way was FREE, as a snack credit! I do not know what I was expecting but at least I gave it a shot!

To me they taste like melted plastic with pineapple flavoring. And then I had to go in search of the ingredients b/c of a reaction my son had, and I realized why it was so nasty!

Totally agree with you. A nasty, overly sweetened package of chemicals is what it is. Never liked them.

I am a fan of the Dole Whip Float - Pineapple and vanilla swirl - served in the Float Cup with fresh Pineapple Juice.

Not a huge fan of the Dole Whip on its own.

Well...um...have to disagree with you folks.

LOVE Dole Whips (but never more than one or perhaps two in any given trip to WDW - there's far too much other great stuff as well).

Call me dumb but where do I get to try one of these dole whips? Everyone keeps mentioning them and raving/or not so I think I will have to experience it and decide for myself in January

Not a huge fan of the Dole Whip on its own.

I love the float as well....never had the Dole whip on it's own.

I had the float. I liked the juice but not the Dole Whip part--I thought it was bland and lacked a nice pineapple flavor, especially once I tasted the juice. Overhyped, IMO.

They can be found in MK Adventureland, at Aloha Isle, right after you go over the bridge.

To each his own...I love Dloe Whips (I always get the float) but DH really dislikes it.

I know it is really crappy (the ingredients) but so is a ton of other things most people eat on a daily basis (ie: soda, non organic food - yum pesticides, artificial sweetner, red dye 1,10,156, hot dogs and the list goes on). If you have a healthy lifestyle and eat a doile whip once or twice a year it will not kill you

I think taste is so personal.

It's one of the few things that we spend money on! We avoid eating in the parks because we don't want to feel weighed down with food, but we always get a Dole Whip! I don't know if it's changed in the past 20 years, but I don't think so. It's always been a great, unique treat that is totally Disney to us.

I had my first Dole Whip Float last November, and now I get one every time I go to the MK. I still prefer a hot fudge sundae at the ice cream parlor, but I think the Dole Whips are good.

I can't get over everyone saying the dole whips were too sweet. The ones DH and I had were too tart; couldn't stand them and ended up tossing them.
