My 1st Dining review with lots of Pix! COMPLETED!!

Rainforest Cafe:yay:

Now, we have Rainforest cafes here at home, but for some reason, we NEVER go to them, but we love to go when at Animal Kingdom:rotfl: No idea why, but it's true:confused3

So about a week before we left, we called and made ADRs for lunch there. Everything we've eatten so far with the exception of Spoodles for breakfast(included, but we chose not to use it), Boardwalk Bakery breakfast (which is included, but we decided not to use it for breakfast) and Rainforest cafe (not included) were paid for with the DDP. so Far these 3 were paid for out of pocket. We love the Rainforest Cafe, and even some think it's a little pricey, it's worth it for us.

So on we went. DN started off with a Frozen Lemonade
disney08460.jpg

He loved it, and said it was really good especially the sugar they put on the rim of the glass:rotfl:

We chose not to do appetizers, so on with the meal!
Sis chose the Chicken Fried Chicken. I wanted this, but I thought it had bones it it so I didn't order it. No idea why I didn't ask, b/c she gave me a taste and it was so good! I wish I had ordered it.
disney08467.jpg

Everything on her plate was delicious.

DN decided he wanted pizza
disney08468.jpg

Mom got the pot roast
disney08469.jpg

And I ordered a Burger with Chedder cheese Very Well done, just the way I like my burgers
disney08470.jpg

This was the absoulte BEST burger I have EVER had in my entire life! It was perfect and just the way I like it:goodvibes Mmmmmmm....just thinking about it now is making me hungry:rotfl:

Would I go back to the Rain Forest Cafe? YES!

Chef Mickey's:yay:

The one meal the kiddos asked to do again when we talked about going back was Chef Mickey's, but mom wanted to skip it this time, so I didn't make an ADR for it. When they kids found out, they were kind of disappointed, so I called a LOT later then I normally would have to try and get Chef Mickey's. I was lucky to be able to get us a table for dinner, but it wasn't till 8:55pm! We usually eat much earlier then that, and I was worried about food quality and character interation so late at night. Well, let me tell you what, we had the BEST time! If anyone is worried about these things like I was, Don't even give a late ADR a second thought, We had so much fun!! In 3 trips to WDW this is my 3rd trip to Chef Mickey's We always have so much fun here.

Like I said, when I made the ADR, I had reservations about it b/c it was so late, I was worried about the food quality, well EVERYTHING was wonderful. Hot, fresh, and Tastey!!

I started off salad and a roll.
disney08541.jpg

and Siso had soup and salad. (new england clam chowder) She's always wanted to try clam chowder, so she was really happy they had it. She loved it, and ended up eating 2 bowls:rotfl: (that will soon be out done lol)

disney08542.jpg

After that it was on to my 1st plate
disney08543.jpg

Including Parm Mashed potatos. Mickey Ravioli, Broc au grauten, some kinda pasta with chicken, A chicken nugget ( :rotfl: yes I got just one) and fresh roast beef ( I think). Everything I got was really great. Hot and fresh. Loved it all!

I didn't get picturs of everyones food, I think I was anoying my family by this point. :rotfl:

but sis did let me take a picture of her dessert, she was so proud of it
disney08550.jpg

and mine
disney08551.jpg

I had to try a little of everything. and I'm glad I did! I loved the key lime tart, LOVED the cheesecake, and carrot cake, not so crazy about the Chocolate Mickey. it was a little hard, and was just like a block of chocolate in my mouth. I know for some that's a dream come true, not so much for me.

The only thing better then the food this night was the character interaction. They were amazing that night! I don't know if it always happens late at night, but there were ON this night. I guess b/c it was so lateish, that there were less people, so we go to spend a lot of time with each character. They came around like 4 times each, and we even had a little extra fun:rotfl:

It started off with Goofy consitnty steal Michaels hat:rotfl: and him having to chase him down for it. Then it moved on to my sister wanting to do the Robot with the characters, AND THEY DID IT!:lmao:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUHFO4n-vxQ&feature=user

and Donald, my DN favorite dancing with him too
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YilEISPGf5g&feature=related

Just like WCC I was worried about late times, but just like WCC they didn't let me down.

Don't know if anyone is still reading, but I like to finish what I start:rotfl: so on we go to Kringla Bakery :goodvibes

all I can say is YUM YUM YUM!!!

We had never stopped here before, but I had to after seeing all the pictures of school bread on the dis. So we decided to have a pastry breakfast at Epcot.

I had no idea school bread was so BIG! We could have easily split one between the 4 of us:rotfl: but we ordered 3 and a almond pretzle

all I can say is OH MY GOD! These were both AMAZING!
School bread:goodvibes

Biergarten:dance3:

So after a visit to the bakery, it was time to go to lunch at Der Biergarten:woohoo: Yummy! I love it here. I had eaten there before, but it was a 1st for my mom and the kids.

Everyone loved it here.
Sis started out with a salad and the Potato & leek soup. She loved that soup so much she had 3 bowls :rotfl: It's been a few days now, and she's still talking about this soup:lmao:
disney08597.jpg

I went straight for the food, totally forgot about the salad this time.
disney08596.jpg

Don't really remember all that was on my plate, but it was all wonderful!!

The show was running a little late, so we ate really slow so we could see at least part of the show, so all we got to see was the band. Which we had fun with none the less.

I had dessert while they played.
disney08598.jpg

that cheese cake was the best!

Boardwalk Hot Dog Stand thing:rotfl:

After a long hot day at Epcot, we went back to our room to head to the pool. After some swimming and fun, we went back to the room, and mom headed to the hot dog stand. She'd been wanting a foot long hot dog since we 1st saw the stand on the Boardwalk:rotfl: so she finally got her wish.
disney08622.jpg

that hot dog was FREAKING HUGE!! :rotfl:

Sis and Nephew both chose the Nachos,
disney08623.jpg

After seeing them, I was glad I changed my mind and chose the chicken finger basket
disney08624.jpg

I LOVE chicken fingers, and these were really good! hot fresh and tasty!!

Not a gourmet meal, but it hit the spot after a night in the pool:thumbsup2

I am stil reading... and oh the school bread looks so good.. I have never had it there... next time I will. We also have never been to Der Biergarten DH usually wants to give it a try and I always choose somewhere else. The food looks good there and DH will be happy to know I will add it on for our next visit. :)

We were sad that this was our last Full day at WDW, we were really tired for spending almost a week at the world and all the running around we did, so we decided to take it easy and relax for the day. We had to go to DTD to exchange a build your own lightsaber my cousin made b/c it wasn't working right, so we decided to go back to WPE for breakfast this time, so off to
disney08634.jpg

This place is busy even for Breakfast, but no where near dinner time.
Mom decided to have the breakfast pizza
disney08637.jpg

Sis and I both had the Denver Denver
disney08639.jpg

Mine with no peppers, hers with no onions

and Michael had the Corn flake French toast
disney08636.jpg

Everything was so good, but the winner of the morning had to be Mom. Her Breakfast pizza was delicious! She let us try it, and it blew everything else away.

Everything was great, but the pizza was wonderful. I would go back to Florida Just for that breakfast pizza:rotfl:

Goofy Candy Co.:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

After breakfast, and a trip to Once upon a Toy, we headed over to the Goofy Candy Co. I told the kids we could make our own treat but we were gonna eat them later, since it was still kinda early to be eating sweets. We were actually the 1st to make our treats for the day:rotfl:

Sis decided to go with the rice crispie treat dipped in milk chocolate, with sprinkles on one side, and butterfinger bits on the other side
disney08668.jpg

disney08669.jpg

Michael got the giant Oreo with white chocolate fudge in the middle, dipped in white chocolate, then covered with crushed oreo, and mini chocolate chips, THEN drizzled with white chocolate:rotfl:
disney08671.jpg

disney08670.jpg

I couldn't decided what I wanted, I'm not crazy about pretzles, or marshmallows, or oreos ( I know what's wrong with me:rotfl: ) and didn't feel like a rice crispie treat, but I wanted to make something b/c I know we won't be back for a long time since we have other things coming up, so I had to make something. So I went with Marshmallows dipped in Milk chocolate, covered in pecans, then drizzled with Carmel, AND Milk Chocolate.
disney08672.jpg

disney08673.jpg

Now, sis and I didn't eat these till we actually got back home to Texas, and OH MY GOD they were good! Like I said I'm not crazy about marshmallows, but if they all tasted like these I would eat them DAILY! Maybe it's better that they don't:rotfl: after mom tasted mine she was sad that she decided not to make her own:rotfl:

Beaches and Cream!!
Since we stayed at the Boardwalk, there was no way we could be so close to the Beach Club and not go to Beaches and Cream!
We had never been there before, and there was a LONG wait to be seated. After about an hour wait they finally seated us, I had no idea the place was so tiny!! We had horrible service. Our waitress was super slow and not very friendly. We decided that we were gonna have a ice cream lunch, so of course with 4 of us, we had to tackle the Kitchen Sink! As soon as my nephew saw it his eyes were as big as plates LOL!!!
disney08664.jpg

It was really good, of course, but way too huge even for the 4 of us, we didn't even come close to eatting half of it

Tony's Town Square:goodvibes
disney08693.jpg

For our last dinner in the World, we decided to go to Tony's. I had read some negative reviews about Tony's, but I wanted to try it anyway. I always like to make up my own mind about places, so off we went!!

We started off with Bread and dipping oil
disney08697.jpg

Yummy Yum Yum!(said the bread lover:rotfl: ) mom didn't really care for it, but I loved it. It would have been much better if the bread had been hot, but it was still good.

Mom had the New York Strip Steak ( I believe) with potatos and broccoli
disney08698.jpg

Sis and I both had the Chicken Parm:lovestruc
disney08699.jpg

and Kiddo had the kids spaghetti with Carrots and celery and they typical kids sundae for dessert
disney08701-1.jpg

disney08702.jpg

Mom had the Lemon Curd cake
disney08704.jpg

Sis had the Ice cream Bomb
disney08705.jpg

and I had the Chef's Signature Cheesecake
disney08706.jpg

Everything here was WONDERFUL! After all the bad reviews I'd read, I was a little worried, but Tony's was great. We even had a view of the Parade from the restaurant. All great. Great food, great view and great service

:sad1: Spoodles

We had to wake up early to catch the Magical Express shuttle, our flight home was at about 11:55am, so we had to catch the bus about 8:55am. We decided to pack the night before, and check out early so we could have breakfast at spoodles one last time before we left. So after check out we left our bags with bell services and walked down to Spoodles

Sis decided to get the pancakes with sausage
disney08717.jpg

and Michael got the Mickey Pancake with Bacon again Which prompted another "BACON GIVES ME LIFE!!" from him:lmao:
disney08718.jpg

and mom and I both got the All American
disney08719.jpg

again EVERYTHING here was great, and a really nice way to spend our last morning at the Boardwalk.

All in all, this was a really great trip, with LOTS of fun meals and wonderful food:goodvibes The only place we ate at the I would never do again was the ABC Commisary, Blah! but everything else was just plain great! Hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I did:goodvibes

DEVINE...question about the pretzel in Epcot....what was on top of it besides almonds? Was that frosting beneath there? Uuummmmm! THANKS for ALL the pix! Making me hungry!!

Rainforest Cafe:yay:

DN decided he wanted pizza
disney08468.jpg

I am loving your reviews ! Especially loving your nephew - he's great ! And btw, I am a fellow "bready" ! Warm, soft, crusty fragrant bread with butter . . . . mmmmmm. Just don't give me frozen butter, lol !

Another question.. Can you still use your dining plan snacks for the treats at Goofy's Candy Co. Thanks... great reviews and pictures. :)

Boardwalk Hot Dog Stand thing:rotfl:
Not a gourmet meal, but it hit the spot after a night in the pool:thumbsup2

Love this quote ! I sometimes feel like a short-order cook for my son and his friends - all summer long, they come over and swim, play volleyball, etc. and basically eat me out of house and home ! Late nights, they don't care what they eat, they just want something to fill their stomachs, it's all good !

Great reviews!!! The school bread looks soooo yummy!!!!
