Now that I have finally purchased our flights for our November trip I can begin to plan!

We only have two opportunites during our stay to do MVMCP, either Tuesday November 15th or Friday November 18th. Here's my dilemma: Our flight arrives on the 15th around 11:30 that morning. Knowing that the 15th might possibly have lighter attendance, should we go that evening after a day of early flights or should we attend on the 18th (which I fear might be packed since there is not another MVMCP until the 27th) ? I greatly appeciate any thoughts or opinions on this because it will take some convincing to get my husband to go on the 15th.

I would do the 18th. I think you will be too tired to fully enjoy MVMCP on your arrival day.

Gotta agree with this for us the parties mean we will be up till midnight getting every last moment in and with traveling that morning that might not be a good experience.

Thanks for the input. I pretty much have been thinking the same thing... to go on the 18th. Just concerned as this will be our first MVMCP and I don't want big crowds to take away from the experience. Any other thoughts or experience with MVMCP around these dates?

Disneydreamer, you are wondering the exact same thing as me! We also arrive on the 15th around noon. I've already decided not to do the party on the 18th because I know it will be crowded w/ it being a Fri but also isn't it one that does not have discounted tickets meaning it's EXPECTED to be packed and maybe even sell out? If we do the party it will be the 15th otherwise not at all. WE also have never been to the party before or WDW for that matter! So...I need to decide to do the 15th or not at all. I go back and forth on trying to decide.
I think we will be tired of course but we'll be pumped up on adrenaline and so excited. Kids will be 10 and 14 so they'll be tired but so excited that they'll be able to handle it I'm sure. It might not be an ideal night but at the same time, I kind of think it will be fun to fly in and hit the party right off the bat on our first ever trip to WDW to really get submerged right into the magic immediately. lol
My dilemma is this: if we do the party on that arrival night...we will HAVE to sleep in on our first full day on vacation (recover from flight and party) and then it will be hard to flip ourselves for the remainder of our trip because I'd really rather do rope-drops. know what i mean? I feel like if we party like rockstars on that Tues. night, then sleep in 'til 10 or 11 the next day, we'll be all rested up and stay out late again and continue w/ this pattern never making rope drop! So then I think maybe we'll do the party and then still planning on getting up for rope drop the next day(yikes) but maybe just do AK or studios for a 3/4 day crashing early evening and that way we're back on track w/ early to bed-early to rise for the rest of the trip. ugh decisions!:faint:

I totally understand your dilemma!! This is not our first trip to WDW but we have never made a rope drop and I really want to this time! These boards have convinced me that rope drop is the way to go. With that said we only have four days to do all four parks before we head out on our Disney Cruise  soooo.... I am constantly thinking over and over what will be the best plan for us. I think if we go to the party on the 15th we will not be able to rise for rope drop at the park the next day.

Here's my current plan (of course I could change my mind in the next ten minutes :lmao:):
11-15 -arrive -enjoy afternoon calmly :)
11-16 -rope drop @ MK
11-17 -rope drop @ DHS
11-18 -rope drop @ AK then MVMCP
11-19 -rope drop @ Epcot

It is definitely a full schedule and we will need the cruise afterwards! Thanks for your input and best of luck to you to find the best plan for your family. Oh yeah... any chance that you are flying in from Milwaukee on Frontier? That would be pretty crazy!

I think the 18th would be best for the reasons mentioned..It is going to be busy since it is the last MVMCP before the Thanksgiving holiday, but the 15th will prbably be busy too, just pick a party a go with it.Crowds are going to be part of it ,just make a plan and enjoy yourself.
