Does anyone know if there is a wheelchair viewing location for the MVMCP Parade? We are going Dec. 11, there will be four of us. From what I have read it looks like the 2nd parade will be less crowded but will we need to stake out spot early?
Also, has anyone done the Yuletide Fantasy Tour in a wheelchair or with someone in a wheelchair. How was it? Any problems I should know about before making a reservation?
Thanks for any info.

We've never been there for MVMCP, but some regular posters have been, so I'm pretty sure you will get a "for sure" answer.
I imagine they use the same wheelchair viewing spots as for the other parades. One is on Main Street across the street from City Hall. Another is on Main Street near the castle; looking up Main Street toward the castle, it's on the right side near the sidewalk that goes up toward the statue of Walt with Mickey. The third one is in Liberty Square almost directly across from the entrance to the Hall of Presidents.
The wheelchair viewing areas are marked on the park map with a little wheelchair symbol.

It has been a long time... but isn't there a reserved balcony-type platform right in front of the train station, over the crowd?

There is a balcony-porch on the front of the train station, but the only way up there besides steps is the ramp to get to the train. We have been waiting to ride the train already when the CMs have sent away people in wheelchairs used the ramp to get to that viewing area. I think the main problem is that the ramp leads to the train boarding area and there is not a way to get out of that area except by going on the train or back down the ramp to the ground.
A good spot to see the parade if you want to be elevated is the porch in the building where Tony's Town Square Restaurant is (I think the building is the Exibition Hall). There is a ramp at the end of the building closest to the train station. It's not wheelchair only or reserved and you need to get there about 1.5 to 2 hours before a parade starts on a regular busy day.

The best place for vewing is by the Liberty Tree Tavern Restaurant. There is a brick like wall that your family can sit on while you enjoy the parade from your wheelchair. You also get a lot of interaction from the parade. The parade is FANTASTIC!!!! When we were there last year, when the gingerbread men passed by you could actually smell the gingerbread. This is also a great place to view the spectro magic parade too. Try to get PS at liberty tree tavern for about 5pm and then after you eat you can go right outside and view the parade. Let me know what a great time you had.

We watched it in front of the Castle last year. We told the CM we would be back for the first parade and asked if the seating filled up like it does for the regular parades she told us no because there are less people so they can monitor it better. We got back 10 minutes before the parade time and went right into the wheelchair section. I took a little baby pillow that I put in the net under my DD's wheelchair and sat on the curb next to her. It was WONDERFUL!!!
