MVMCP - Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know...

My Mom just suprised me- she is going to my our tickets for a party while we are down there. I am leaning towards the last party on Dec 18th. I know it will be crowded, but all I have to go on is the first trip that we took last summer in June and it was wall to wall people- is this the way the party will be also?

this is our option too, but thinking ;) that because 2 days later the parties are done, and the parade/shows/fireworks will be the xmas party ones, that maybe ppl will not go to the final parties, and save the money to watch when it is free :rolleyes1

I also ordered online and printed my e-tickets. The ticket says on it to present it at the turnstile where directed. "You do not need to wait in Will Call or Ticket Purchase queues." I'm guessing that this means there will be turnstiles with barcode readers to handle the e-Tickets.

I always print tickets at home - just bring them to the special turnstiles and they will scan the barcode give you a wristband and off you go!

We are going 11/29 Have a great time everyone!!!:santa:

We are going into the party at 4 p.m. on the 13th. My question is this: Did you line up at 7 p.m. to meet the fairies or earlier? I want to do this during the party to avoid a long line, so any advice is appreciated!

And we just ordered our tickets online and I got them in the mail yesterday. I was a little disappointed they didn't have a Christmas-themed picture on the front!

We were on line at 6:00pm. They kind of "closed" the area to get rid of regular guests vs party guest and then by 6:45pm they started letting people in

What do they do if you are already in the park that day? I have park hoppers and want to go ahead early (2:30ish) to see the afternoon parade and then to eat dinner at Liberty Tree. Do I go back to the front gates or are there places within the park to get the bracelet? TIA! I have 53 days until the party!

I am hoping to get a reservation for CP around 4:15-4:30. My DSs really want to eat with Pooh and friends and this fits best into my touring plans. Did this give you plenty of time for some rides as well as the parade, fireworks and shows :scared1:! It seems like a lot to do in one night. TIA

Yes it did by the time we finished eating we went straight to ToonTown and got in line to see Tink and the other Fairies. Afterwards we missed the first parade and went on rides - there were no lines (rode Splash 3 times straight!!) then saw Wishes and stayed close to the dance party at Cosmic Ray's and then caught the late parade

I'm going on 11/29 with my parents!!! It's our first time! Questions - where can you see the princessed and is there a certain time??? also is grumpy out anywhere to take a picture with???
thanks in advance

Actually best place to catch the princesses is @ ToonTown the line was shorter for the Princesses than the Fairies (plus just like this year) the Tink movie just came out so it was more popular.... You can see Grumpy during the parade but I did not see him at any of the meet and greets!

Have a great time and :santa: Happy Holidays! :santa:

Go back to the front gate at 4pm with your MVMCP tickets so you can get your wristband

There will be CMs around the park after 4:00p to show your tickets to so you can get the wristband. I know I've seen them around the Hub for sure but they are in various locations. You do not have to go to the front gate. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I went to Epcot the morning we went to MNSSHP, so I didn't know what to do, lol!

this is our first time ever to Disney and I was wondering where they sell the MVMCP pins at? All the shops or are there specific locations they sell them?

I know that during MNSSHP there were places marked on the maps to buy merchandise for the event. I am assuming it will be the same for MVMCP.

The gift shop on main street, on the right side had them at the MNSSHP.

Silly question but we were planning on going to the MK by around 1-2pm, have an ADR at 3:25pm at Crystal Palace and then we have MVMCP tix for that evening. I assume our party should just make our way back to the turnstiles before 7pm with our tickets to get our wristbands correct?

This was answered on the last page....

I am so excited! I have been yearning for a Disney World visit. We haven't been to the parks since 2006. My DDs started high school this year and I have been melancholy about them growing up so fast. My heart has been wishing that I could have one more WDW memory with them. We are going to Fla in November for an unrelated trip and it was killing me to be so close to the Magic without being able to experience it. Well, we have ONE DAY free in Orlando so I've convinced dh that we should go to the MVMCP. Thank you, thank you, thank you! DH thinks it's a "bargain" because it is less than the cost of a one-day park ticket. We'll get there right at 4pm and stay til midnight (that's the nice thing about high school kids -- they have no problem staying up late!) I will get my WDW fix with a little Christmas magic mixed in!

Thanks for all the great tips and info in this thread.

We are doing the MVMCP on the 15th, it is our 18th wedding anniversary :flower3:

We have ADR's at CG at the Contemp at 5:30, should I move them to the night before and do maybe CP in the park instead? I want to be at the park for the beggining of the party, will this be cutting it too close if I keep the ressie?
If I do move the ADR's to a park restaraunt is the CP a good choice?
I am so very exctied:cheer2:

Hey everyone,

We have tickets to MVMCP on December 6. :santa: This is also our first Disney trip, so we are super excited. We planned it for our last night there, since we knew we would have the kids up late that night and didn't want to plan it during the week when we'd be up early and going to parks and such.

Anyway, I do have a question if someone would like to help me out. I currently have an ADR at the Plaza that night for 5:55 pm. Is that a good place to eat right before the party? Will we have enough time to eat and then jump right into the festivities? I'd like to get a bit earlier, but this is the best I could do for time. What do you think? I've been hearing that lots of folks seem to enjoy Cosmic Rays, so I wonder if this is 'wasting' a TS credit when CS would be just as good? On the other hand, I thought having a 'relaxing' sit down meal at a TS might be a nice way to start out the night..what do you all think?

Thanks!
