MVMCP pictures and characters

Could someone explain about the pictures I've read about? I don't know what's being talked about when people say they get in lines.

I'd also like to learn more about the characters that are out and if they are out for autographs and pictures, are lines long and lengthy?

We'll be there this coming December and I'm trying to prepare and know what to expect.

We did two MVMCP this past year. (Dec 16 and 18, both sold out)The photo is a family shot with a background for the Christmas party. The first night we walked out of the Crystal Palace after dinner headed into Adventure Land just as they were setting up the photo area. We were invited in and were one of the first families to get our photo taken. We got three copies mailed to our home and they were waiting when we arrived back from our trip. I did see the lines grow later in the evening. We did not do it at the second party.

The characters were great. We found Belle and the Beast in Christmas outfits and the line was about 5 minutes. The pooh characters were out with Rabbit included the line was about 5-10 minutes. We went to the Toontown tent early and the lines were non existant. We saw Cinderella and Prince Charming, Aurora and Prince Phillip, the Mice, Mickey and Minnie in Christmas outfits with a tree, Daisy over the two nights. Donald was at his tree lot and we did not find a line at all early. We saw Mary Poppins and Bert just sitting on the porch by the train station. There was no line. There were lines for the characters later on in the evening around the flag pole. We did character and rides before the first parade and then left because we had a two year old.

If you do a search and look at the MVMCP thread from last year you can find all the info and a map as to where the photo locations are. There is lots of info as to what characters are out. If you are looking for someone special ask at Guest Service and they will call to find out where and what time they will be out. This is how we found Prince Phillip who was our goal for the party.
