MVMCP - buying tickets off-site

Hi everyone, I read the following on the MVMCP post

<Advance purchase means any time before actually being at the Ticket and Transportation Center on the night of the party you've chosen to attend.You can purchase them at your resort the day of the party at Advance prices.>

We are staying off-site, can we purchase the tickets anywhere in Disneyworld the day off or the day before and still be classified as Advance Purchase....

I bought MVMCP tickets in the middle of the afternoon at the BWV front desk in 2002 for that night and was charged full price. I waited because the weather was so bad, it had rained hard for over 24 hours straight. It was a Tuesday and I wasn't sure if it would clear up by Tuesday night or if I should wait for Thursday. When it cleared up in the afternoon, I bought the tickets. Good thing because Thursday evening turned out to be a washout.

So you think if I bought the tickets the day before I would get the discount rate?

The day before you would definitely get the discount. We usually arrive on Saturday and go on Sunday or Tuesday. I've always got the advance price if I bought at check-in on Saturday. 2002 was an exception because of the weather.

I know I am asking alot of questions but this is our first trip and I am in charge of the planning - oh the stress but I am having fun doing it..

DebbieB, were you staying off-site when you bought the tickets from BWV - does this mean I can go to any resort hotel and buy the tickets even though I am staying off-site? Can I also buy the tickets at the ticket booths at the parks as well?

I was staying at BWV. I'm sure you would be able to buy the tickets at any park booth or at guest relations in Downtown Disney (by Once Upon a Time).
