Question, If I have tickets for MVMCP for dec. 5th, can I use those tickets to get into MK around 430pm? And not use my park hopper pass?
Yes, they start letting party goers in after 4:00p with just their party ticket.

Great! I'm glad you won't use up your party time and you still get to eat where you wanted to.Thanks to Beca and Mousegirl, I changed my reservations at Tony's for lunch instead of dinner. That way, we will have all the time for the MVMCP!![]()
On another note, will someone post a schedule of events as soon as it is available! I'd love to see it to see all that goes on. I'm afraid I will be totally overwhelmed, and I'd like to see the schedule on a non-Disneyoverloaded brain!![]()
They start to announce that the park is closing around 6:00p. Those without tickets/wristbands are to leave by 7:00p. No it is not like EMH as EMH is free, the parties aren't.
They will have CMs all over the park directing those without tickets/wristbands to the exits. They will also have CMs at the entrances to each land (like a human rope) not letting those wtihout wristbands in. They will also have CMs at the restrooms not letting those wtihout wristbands in. They will also not let those without wristbands shop, enter rides, enter shows, get hot choc/cookies etc...
So you should not be able to see the show at 7:00p if you did not buy the $50+ ticket to the party.
However, in the past they have shown "Twas the Night before Christmas" show on Saturdays for everyone to enjoy. Not sure when they'll start doing this this year or even if they will do it again this year. But if they are, this could be an option for you.
Ok, here is my question. We have 5:15 ressies at Whispering Canyon the night of the party. Do you think that is a bad idea?
We are going Nov. 14th. Do not miss the fireworks, they were wonderful, the parade is great too.
Here are my tips:
- See the 2nd parade
- Get a spot for holiday wishes at least 30-45 min early
- Don't spend too much time on rides that you can do anytime. Get your value's worth by doing the things you can only do at the party like the special shows.
- You can get apple slices and I think apple juice when you get your cookies/cocoa.
- It's easy to loose track of time so set your watch alarm or cell alarm.
-Take a few minutes to stay on mainstreet and just watch the snowfall. It's magical.
- See the first showing of twas the night before christmas as the later ones are harder to get into.

Do they do the castle lighting everynight or just the nights of the party?
Good tips!
I just have a comment on the bolded line. I only get there 15 minutes before and still get a spot right in front of the castle but we just stand there, along with everyone else. Now if there was a show I wanted to see right afterwards at the castle front, I may get there a little earlier but even at 15 minutes before, I still can see the show because many of the people who were watching the fireworks leave for other things.
Just wanted to share a different plan of attack.![]()
we are going this year too, i was wondering, as the park closes and the day people have to leave, if you are already there and have a mvmcp ticket is this a good chance to ride the rides as the day people leave and the MVMCP guests are yet to arrive???
Yes. That time between 4:00p - 7:00p is a great time to ride rides. But even during the party the lines are usually minimal (as long as it isn't a sold out night) because most people are trying to do all the Christmas festivities rather than the rides.
