We are going to be at WDW for thirteen days and think that we will have time to ride all the rides we want. We are going to MVMCP for the atmosphere. If riding the rides is not a priority for us during the party, will we be able to see and do all of the special Christmas themed activities and shows?

You should be able to do all of the activities and shows. Most people don't go for the rides so the special holiday things are the most crowded.

Another thing is the last two times we've gone, when we go through the gate we're always astonished with the sea of people on Main St. but once you get away from this part of the park it's generally less crowded (the fake snow bubbles, I guess, really draw a crowd ).

Several newbie questions!!
What is the reason for going to MVMCP at 4:00 if it doesn't officially start until 7:00?

You can squeeze in an extra 3 hours of MK without even burning a park pass for that day. Not a factor if you're planning on doing another park that day anyway... just go when you're ready.

Where would you suggest eating if you don't have ADR's?

We are staying at the Polynesian...can we eat somewhere there without a reservation? (oh, lordy there is still so much to learn about WDW!!)

There's always the food court. And I know a lot of people love to do Kona Cafe on a party night because the Poly is so convenient and the Kona has a great rep (haven't been yet myself). You're not likely to get in without ADRs on a party night, but if you're staying at the Poly it's only a matter of going over and asking if there's any chance of getting in.

Am thrilled to be going on Monday 12/4. Was only able to talk hubby into it by agreeing to do the Backstage Tour during the day---now I'm afraid he'll really be pooped out and not want to go at all!!! (Afternoon nap and quick, light supper might do the trick.)

And don't be afraid to lay on the guilt...

We have ADRs for 'Ohana's at 5pm on the 19th. I hope that we will still be able to get to the park before the big "7pm rush".

I will be phoning in a cancellation for our LTT ADR--which I think, is for 6:15 pm.

Actually, the ADR is for 13 November, the 1st MVMCP.

I will be placing it on the ADR cancellations, just thought I'd give everyone here the heads up~

You can subscribe to a thread that you want to keep track of by posting to it and then before you hit submit, click on subscribe to thread. You can get an email each time someone posts OR (this is what I do) you can not have emails sent but just go to User CP every once in awhile and see your list of threads you are subscribed to.

But many do not realize that you do not have to post to a thread to subscribe anymore. All you have to do is go to 'Thread Tools" and then choose "subscribe to thread". I much prefer this method so that I'm not just posting "subscribing" in a thread, so that I don't bother those who are already subscribed who then come to see what was posted only to find that it was just a 'subscribing' post.

We'll be doing MVMCP on Tuesday 11/28 this year.

We have ADR's at Tony's for 5:15.

Our plans are to arrive at MK around 4:30 (avoiding the 4 pm get in early rush)

We'll get our wrist bands (I think we got them at Town Hall last year), and check out what we want to eat.

Since we'll be around Tony's we'll also see if this is where the sell the special pins. This was where they had them last year. If I remember correctly they had separate pins for different MVMCPs.

Yes, be prepared for cooler weather. I'll be wearing my Mickey Santa Hat. And watch the weather report in the am to see how cool it could be.

Have your picture taken early before you are messed up from the rides.

Go with the flow and enjoy the time. Yes there will be lines, but this is WDW.

Do not miss the fireworks and let's see who flies from the castle.

We got our wristbands around 4 at the rose garden adjacent to the castle. I believe there were signs up.

Some people's paperwork that came with the tickets said there was a free photo others did not. I called twice now and was told that there WOULD be free photos. But this is Disney and things are subject to change. I'm going to be very disappointed if there isn't free photos! Tickets cost more this year and if we don't get the photos I'm going to feel really ripped off. Just my opinion though!

They take the photos in Adventureland, Tomorrowland, and Liberty Square I believe. I don't know if they are different backgrounds in each location. Ours was very Christmas-ey and we got it done in Adventureland.

There really isn't any "adult only" type of things. In fact my recommendation is try to forget you are adults and have fun! Visit the different characters and dance with them at the Holiday Hop!! Oh-- maybe the Holiday Brass concert would be good for you. I think alot of kids aren't too interested in that.

If you enter MK after 4:00p then you will get your wristbands as you enter the gate. Otherwise, there will be CMs all around the park to exchange your ticket for a wristband with.

Last year the photos were only being taken at 2 locations; Adventureland and Tomorrowland and they were NOT on the map so it was quite confusing.

I know!! I had to back and ask the CM who gave me my map. He told me "Go where the white thumbs are.".....uh..ok.
We stumbled on the Adventureland location. Hopefully they WILL do this this year and Hopefully they will have it marked better!!

Bypass Fantasyland and head to Adventure Land to get your photo taken. The lines were huge in Fantasyland for the pics. We walked to Adventureland and the lines were long but they moved very fast. There were about 6-10 tables taking the pics. By the way pics are included in the ticket price and they were nice pics.

Pins,pictures,cocoa,potty and shows in that order!! Can anyone confirm about the pix as it would be a huge shame if they didn't due it anymore that was something we really looked forward to getting in the mail when we got home!

it get very chilly for them...also, when watching the shows, those steel benches are freezing. Use a blanket to sit on......hats and mittens too..

Does anyone know what time the buses run til during the MVMCP? Just wondering if we should bus it or take our car.

I second this for anyone going to the Candlelight Processional at Epcot too. Those seats get very cold at night!!
