I haven't been to Disney in about 6 years, so I've really been absorbing these boards with their wealth of info and taking notes.

What are your must have snacks or drinks (dh loves different beers) while in the worlds? I've got a list started and so far I have:

1. Dole Whips at Aloha Isle in MK or Poly
2. Figaro Fries at Pinocchio Village Haus in MK
3. school bread at Kringla in Norway
4. Create your own Pretzels (3) & Create your own rice krispie treat at Goofy’s Candy Company in DTD
5. zebra domes at Mara in AKL
6. Doh Bar at Cooke’s of Dublin in DTD

I'm really excited, cause I haven't tried any of those above, and I'm going to be a hero on this trip when I have all these great tries.
Any other suggests? popcorn::

My kids love the baguettes in France and the icees (snow cones) in Japan
We like the beers in Norway, Germany and England (and Canada, UK, Japan, America, and Mexico :rotfl: )
We also like the chili cheese fries at Pecos Bills, nachos in Mexico, and bear claws in Canada

If you are anywhere near POFQ, the beniets(sp?) are really good.

We LOVED the sour frozen lemonade! I so wanted to get just one more before we left, but couldn't find a cart anywhere on our way out of the park.:sad2: They are a pretty good purchase for a snack credit as I think they run $3.50 or so.

The Mickey premium bars are always a must have snack for us as well!

Funnel cakes at Sleepy Hollow in MK (one is enough for AT LEAST 2 people)! :) mmmm... can't wait!

Where is sleepy hollow in MK? :confused3 Linda

From the hub (right before the castle, assuming you're facing the castle), take the path on the left side into Liberty Square. It's right there on the right side once you're in Liberty Square, right before the Hall of Presidents.

(yeah, I admit it -- I had to get out my map to double-check. :))

Even better...if any one has pic's of their favorites foods, this would be nice to add.

I realize I'm seeing these items online :disrocks: and told the rest of my family all about this great list I was starting adding fun treats to our days and they were not that thrilled :confused3 . I found a copy of the school bread and suddenly they had huge eyes  . Only problem is I can't figure out how to copy and paste it to this page. :sad2:

If you can get them to copy just don't forget to add the name and place to buy it at.

Thanks, this is giving me some great ideas! popcorn::

You definitely must have the sugared and candied pecans and almonds in Epcot. My hubby made us go there just to get them one afternoon. I will be using all of my snack credits from DDP just for these.

PS: I found a package of these nuts in the bottom of a bag I brought back with some maps in it about two weeks after we came back, Still Good! but don't tell anybody!

OP, your DH sounds like my kind of guy. For beers, the place to go is World Showcase. Each country has a different one (my favorites: Dos Equis on tap in Mexico and Tsingtao in China). He could also walk through the International Gateway and check out Big River Grille, a microbrewery at the Boardwalk Inn. They have a sampler of the beers they make there.

Gus, thanks for providing the name of the Chinese beer. On the menu it always said just 'beer' while all of the other countries have their brand names prominently displayed. We always have laughed about this!
Also, I forgot about big River Grille on the boardwalk - we thoroughly enjoyed this sampler, also!

Haven't been to Disney in 6 years and am a bit confused. I thought Beach Club had a walkway at International Gateway. Do both Boardwalk Inn and Beach Club walk over to Epcot? I'm so confused!

Thanks for the great tips on the beer. I had heard it was fun to sample around the world, but it was expensive per beer because they were the full size:drinking1 . A sampler is always a great way togo. Wish they had it at Epcot for all the worlds.

I love the candied/sugared pecans in Epcot, Kakigori in Japan and School Bread in Norway!

Well I was just wondering this.. Guess that answers that question. Thought maybe they would have small bottles / sizes / whatever that wouldnt be as much as a full one so it would be cheaper and you could try more (which would really mean it wasnt cheaper :) )

Fiesta Margarita in Mexico
Sugared Pecans in Epcot
Mickey Bars
Kaki Gori in Japan
Dole Whip in Adventureland at MK
Churros
Fish & Chips in England

Dole Whip is without a doubt one of my favorite parts of a disney vacation.

And I love anything from the bakery in France -- the lemon tart and chcolate eclair I had last time were both delicious.

Moosehead in Canada ---- Harp in UK --- Dos Equis in Mexico --- 1648 (or whatever) in France and just plain beer everyplace else

Caramel/pecan apples and fudge at the Confectionary shop in MK! YUM!!!

MCJIGS - to answer your question about the walkway.......
The Yacht/Beach Club, Boardwalk Resort and the Swan/Dolphin Hotels all surround a lagoon (in which you can easily walk around). You can take a boat to MGM from all 3 locations and you can either take a boat or walk over to Epcot. The walk (Internatinal Gateway) is really short and is between the Beach Club and Boardwalk Resort.
