I have to do a project for school. I have to remake a scene from a musical. I can do it alone or in a group. If I would do a group, it would be like 2 or 3 people. Anyone have any good musicals that I could do?

The 'Loud as the hell you want' scene from Avenue Q.

Just kidding.:)

As someone already said, 'Popular' is good or you could do something from Beauty and the Beast.

i know many good musicals, but cant really think of any scenes. so:
- west side story
- singin in the rain
- my fair lady
- annie get your gun
- the king and i
- anchors aweigh
or pretty much anything else starring gene kelly.
these are all kinda old movies but they are pretty good

A really powerful scene is the second to last scene in Phantom of the Opera.
Where the phantom makes Christine between marrying him or watching him kill her love, Raoul.
And then ultimately releases both of them.

But for that to be good, you'd have to REALLY commit to it.

:rotfl:

ITA, but I'm not sure it's school-appropriate!

well, you know, change the lyrics a bit....and the dress....and make it grape juice and apple juice instead of wine and beer...and...yeah. OK. I concede the point.

But it would still be soooooo much fun to remake.

I've thought of some of these. I love Wicked. But I'm not sure about anything right now.

Remake the Internet is For Porn scene... or the Everyone's a Little Bit Racist scene. Both from Avenue Q. The former is just a bit better, IMO.

The Best Musical ever: West Side Story. You could do the last scene where Tony gets shot and killed. I imagine you are a girl so you could be Maria, but you would need a few others like Chino(who shoots Tony) and the gamg members who carry Tony off.

Just do some research and find a fun one. And I am guessing a lot of them will be choosing HSM

Marry the Man Today from Guys and Dolls. Simple two person song that is not overdone but very entertaining and fun to perform.

That's what I would do.

I would remake sixteen going on seventeen from the Sound of Music. or Cell Block Tango from Chicago.

Maybe Bye Bye Birdie??
Maybe the scene on the Ed Sullivan show where conrad gets punched by Huego??

Or Wizard of Oz. Lots of things you can do with only a few people.

What about something from Beauty and the Beast, or The Little Mermaid. And I can see that you like the Gilmore Girls (same by the way), but I was watching David Letterman Show and Lauren Ghram was on and she is in the Broadway production of Guys and Dolls. If you wanna follow her footsepts, do a song from there, for example Adalaides Lament. Its a solo and its wicked fun. or google Lauren Ghram and find out what character she plays and find a song she sings. Who knows you could just be the next Gilmore Girl. lol:)
