You know how at all of the WDW parks they play music in the background-even if its real quiet ...its still there;my DH keeps on wondering if on the ship is there music playing in the background?

thanks

Yes, there is music in the hall outside your stateroom, music by the pool, and just about anywhere you can imagine. Some of it is live at times. It adds a nice touch. I just returned from the 3/6 Eastern and only noticed that the music seemed a bit loud a couple of times.

The background music is part of what makes the Disney Cruise Line so magical!

Think of your favorite Disney tunes being played in their original form and in steel band form! :D

We had purchased "Steel Drum Party" before our Jan '03 Magic cruise, and heard that playing often on Deck 4.

However, on our recent Wonder cruise, we didn't hear any music on Deck 4. Does anyone know if they still have the steel drum music playing on the Magic's running deck?

Another difference I noticed on the Wonder is that only 1 shufflebard court exists (also Deck 4). There were two on the Magic. Has the Magic removed one also since our last cruise?

Thanks!

DOes anyone have a list of the music they play on the ship?

We were on the 12-27-03 New Year's Eve cruise, never heard so many christmas carols played on steel drums.

The music changes periodically based on what's popular at the time. Our first cruise in 02 we heard "who let the dogs out" several times around the family pool, but in Jan 03, didn't hear it (made me happy, cause I was sick of it, DD really liked that CD).

I did notice the single shuffleboard court on the Wonder, because we actually had to wait to use it, and I went over to the other side searching. I thought I was nuts cause I knew there were two of them on the Magic!

Anyway, in the hallways, I often heard the "softer" songs in the late evening early morning hours, and the more upbeat songs during the day. I specifically remember hearing "Candle on the Water" from Pete's Dragon, because I hadn't heard it in years!

Also...each pool area has different music playing. there are mostly kid type songs at the Mickey pool....popular songs at the goofy pool and sort of new age lite alternative music at the adult pool.

They also play a lot of songs from Radio Disney CD's
