Music of Pixar Dining Package & new Fantastic Dining Package

Just reserved the Pixar only package for our trip in July. We reserved a 5:30 pm dinner at Brown Derby and got the 8:15 pm show. That is perfect for us. We will leave there and then go and wait for Star Wars fireworks. I decided not to add on F! because we want to see the fireworks. Going to brave the crowd for that one . . . I don't need the ultimate spot, just a decent one. I could not handle waiting more than 30 minutes anyway!

What time are the fireworks? I thought they were at 9? I did an earlier pixar package thinking I wouldn't make it from the 3rd show. I much prefer later though since we will be coming from another park.

We are going on July 9. Star Wars Galactic Spectacular is at 9:30 pm on that day. We are hopping over too so yes I agree the later time is better for that. F! is at 9 pm that night.

Thank you, OP for posting this! :yay: I was able to call and get my second choice of Pixar show and preferred restaurant. Lots of other choices were gone already. The agent said slots were going fast. This was before the FD weeks too. I can only imagine how those are disappearing.

Just saw the info about dining package tonight. Called immediately and was not able to book the combo package.

Was able to get 1st show/6:50 reservation at mama melrose. Family really wants to also make it to Fantasmic. According to current calendars it starts at 8:30 pm on our night 8/22. If I get a FP for Fantasmic (if Available as 4th FP) do you think we can make it? Was really hoping for a 6 or 6:15 ADR.

Hopefully I'm not repeating a question already asked... I'm sitting in carpool on my phone, lol. We have an existing fantastic package in 9/29 at MM... I wonder if I can call and have the Pixar added? And also I wonder what the price diff is?

I'd like to know too, I have a 2:00 PM FDP reservation for 9/24 and would love to add this if it opens up.

Thanks for the info, didn't know this was a thing! Successfully booked the combo for breakfast and H&V.....is this still a playhouse disney breakfast as well?

I would figure 90 min for meals. Keep in mind this is 3 courses, with the app and dessert included in the package. They will often open up the FP reserved area to general seating (15-20 min maybe?) before the show starts. So, I would not book a F! FP.

You can tell your server you are hoping to make F!, and to rush service a bit, and they will try to accommodate. But, do you want to rush through a meal like that for reserved seating for a show?

I would book a 2nd ADR (meal only) at your preferred time. Then, when the show opens, you'll read here how hard it is to get a seat without a package, and decide then which to keep.

I'm thinking, though, unless Pixar is a much higher priority than F!, I would just cancel the package and get an earlier meal time.

As of now, Pixar only runs through 8/27. But, if they were to extend it, you would need a whole new ADR package.

Thanks for your thoughts! That is what I have done basically.... have another ADR that will work if I don't need the dining package for Pixar. Not my ideal time for a meal. But watching for something else to open up with an ideal time. Fingers crossed

I was told by phone CM that on our date (May 31) we could only get combo package, which we don't want. I am disappointed we have to pay for F! tix we don't want. I guess I found out about this too late to book the Pixar only package? It filled up that fast? Has anyone else had recent luck booking a May 31 Pixar package only?

Considering it's Memorial Day week and the package came out a week ago, yeah it's probably just booked up for your party size. You don't have to "pay for Fantasmic tickets you don't want". Eat where you want and go to the Pixar show - you just won't have a reserved seat.

Did you try online? The Pixar package is available on line. The combo package is not.

How popular is the show expected to be? I was worried that we might not get in without the package or standing in line over one hour. I don't want to stand in line for a show to be told this one's full and you must wait for the next one - that would be hours...

No one knows what the seating demand will be. No one knows what % of seats will be held for packages. Unfortunately, yours is one of the first days the show will be running. With the 2 day cancelation policy, hopefully the two days worth of trip reports on the Dis will be enough to help you decide whether to keep or cancel.
