I was just reading another members thread about using a cd with their music on at SBP, which then got my mind racing!! Are you able to use music from a cd at the wedding pavillion? Do they have a system set up? Do they charge anything to use it? And would my WP or someone be able to operate it as it is just DF and me?

Thanks for any help

The WP does have a sound system, but I'm not sure about any charges. Definitely talk to your coordinator...I'm sure they will help you out since it's just the two of you! (We did that too and our coordinator was VERY helpful!)

My ceremony is at the WP and I am using the cd player for my recessional. My planner said there is no charge to use the cound system and there will be a technician to run it for you.

I've just remembered that I started this thread ages ago, sorry for not responding sooner!

I asked my planner about having cd music and she told me that we would have to pay $350 plus tax & gratuity for a tech guy. I'm a bit confused now - has anyone else had any experience with this?? :confused3

I used a CD at the WP and I wasn't charged anything extra - in fact we had some organ music and some CD music.

They have someone there for you and that's why it's more money to rent the WP then the other main locations...

I'm really confused now :sad1: I originally thought that we'd be able to play cd music without a charge, as I'd heard of others playing cd's. With my planner saying the charge was $350 I thought maybe the rules had changed or something, but if you guys have had it free recently I wonder why I've got to pay?? Is it because I'm an escape bride?? It's quite upsetting really because the songs of the words have special meaning to us and thats why we want cd music rather than violin. It's just going to be me and DF - no guests, so the music means even more when all you have are lyrics and no people in there. Maybe its just because I'm an escape bride :confused3

Only thing you can do is ask... ask why you're being charged more for the WP if it does not come with music....
