I heard a muffled scream from my wallet... think the credit card may not be as happy about this speculation as me.
LOL!!!! Yup, definitely a scary thought!!! But fun!

No rides for muppets are coming at this time.I could see a few Muppet rides coming here. Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite parks but in the past it has been light on the rides. It would be great to see a few Muppet rides come in along with the other rides that are being added to the park.![]()
I wish they would at least consider one. That would be a great experienceNo rides for muppets are coming at this time.
From what I've heard Star Wars will actually be closer to the front of the park. It will not go towards streets of America or the backlot.Any idea how star wars land fits around this new expanded muppet area? Most originally thought star wars land would expand past star tour into the streets of america, correct?
It's going to be here for a while at least. It's also not a full blown land but more of a mini-land.I'm honestly curious on how longterm an entire Muppets land would be.

Yeah I'm not sure it will last past the next decade either but like you said I think it's safe until Star Wars is done at least.Understandable, but part of me is curious if Disney really has confidence in the Muppet brand. The latest TV show has sunk like a rock in terms of viewers and ratings, after starting out successful.
I dunno, part of this just feels like it's a temporary bandaid on HS until they get Toy Story and Star Wars close to being completed. I don't see Muppets lasting much longer than that.

What I've heard is Indiana jones won't be lasting much longer. It will extend into the cast parking area over there connecting with what is now Indiana jones.Where have you heard it will be?
They really don't have much room to add a ride based on what else is coming around it. Also the only concept art you'll see is for the restaurants. The outside is very much going to stay the same.Part of me feels like Disney has its finger on the pulse just keeping this Muppets thing alive because they know that there is a brand and history here that is huge but are not quite sure how to make it bigger just yet. I think adding a restaurant and making a mini themed area is a great idea. The 4D attraction is good but aging and the area around could be even better. I'd expect Disney to ramp up the Muppets related merchandise in this area. Plus its IP so why not?! I am surprised they aren't considering adding some sort of flat ride or meet and greet in this area. Can't wait to see some concept art!
You might get more family friendly in phase 3 if all goes well.A Muppets ride would be a great younger kid attraction, too. I know Toy Story Land will have some "family-friendly" rides, but it wouldn't hurt to add one more!![]()

Yep. It seems some of it will go outside existing park boundaries and some of course will be inside. TSL is still going in the backlot area behind TSMM. That leaves the large plot of LMA and streets of America for phase 3.Hmmmm.
When they first announced a 14 acre EXPANSION for SWL, I said it had to go outside the current park to be an expansion. I even had it all doodled.
All the land testing permits for that area for a new entrance/road were way too big for just an entrance. The paperwork for piping water ... just was a lot for just a new road. BUT that prep work that would have to be done would put this project way out there time wise. SO if they used the existing parking lot to build the land in, minimal land prep and a more reasonable time frame. It is about the perfect size acreage wise. AND during that construction they can begin work on the woods/wet areas to prep and build new entrance in and more parking. Concurrent construction! Face it, if they shut Indy down ... that park is about to get bypassed by many, even though I wouldn't care (and happy to see it go) and less parking will be needed.
Happy to believe in what makes the most sense to me .... REAL EXPANSIONThe park is too small now, replacing old with new still results in too small park. And a crushed park with the popularity of what is coming. Putting this outside the park makes so much sense .... but it seems no one else has agreed with that in their photoshopped designs. I hope what you have heard is correct because it makes the most sense. AND that means the Streets of America could result in some sweet surprises assuming TSL is still headed to Backlot.
FINGERS CROSSED.
