I hope so. I can imagine a studio with five people would be a little squishy but I thought the room was bigger than other resorts, and plus you have the extra shower, so that’s a plus.

June 30th (part 6): The monorail crawl: food and pin trading style

We got on the MK bus and it was standing room only, which stunk, but it was fine. We were standing in front of this family and they were going to Ohana. I told them I was extremely jealous, cause really. OHANA DUDES.

We got to MK and it was raining. WHAT ELSE IS NEW.

I walked past the MK turnstiles and cried inside. I wanted to go inside SO BAD but we had more important things to do. And by that I mean food and pin trading.

We headed to the resort monorail and tonight, we were doing the monorail crawl. And I am NOT talking about the monorail drink crawl. Who do you think we are?! “The other people?!”

If you don’t know who "the other people" are, we can’t be friends.

Anyways, a monorail came pretty quickly and we were on our way!

I LOVE YOU.

We arrived at the Contemporary and got off.

Like can I have this cause MARY BLAIR.

We went into the Fantasia shop first and they had Michael Jackson’s glove there to buy…? I don’t even know.

This is what we were most concerned with.

Now don’t get moi wrong, the Magic Band stuff is cute, but WHY. I know it is just to make more money but why would you release the stuff before the bands are even out?! Like that is just stupid. And don’t even get moi started on those ridiculous shirts… And many people don’t even know what the Magic Bands are. We had to explain what the crap they are to people. #futureCM

I pin traded in the Fantasia store for a REALLY cute Aurora pin. I love it!

We went into the main Contemporary store (I don’t know what the name is) and I pin traded some more in there, cause that’s what I do, duh.

We were pretty much done in the Contemporary so we headed back to the monorail and onto the Poly!

Once we got to the Poly, we HAD to write back to our realtor. We couldn’t get onto Mum’s email and it was kinda important stuff. I mean, we could get on, but the message wouldn’t show up. Finally, I found a way to get on so we emailed her back and we were all set for house showings the next day!

We headed to Captain Cook’s first but pictures had to be taken on the way cause reasons.

We used the bathroom and then AMAZINGNESS was about to happen at Captain Cook’s. GET READY DUDES.

We ordered our food on the awesome touch screens (very convenient) and then paid.

We found a table, got drinks, and then our food was ready.

We only got something “small” because we wanted “real food” before HEAVEN, so we went with the pork nachos, and the portion size was huge. We were gonna split them anyways, but good thing we did! And oh my god, they were amazing.

After we gobbled the nachos right up, IT WAS TIME.

If you don’t know what I mean by that, leave this TR.

I was trying to fill mine up really high, but that was an epic fail. It just fell right over.

WHAT IS THIS PLACE. I THINK IT IS HEAVEN. I THINK I SEE GOD.

I was finally reunited with dole whip goodness after almost a year. IT WAS LIKE HEAVEN. Ugh, SO GOOD.

After we wobbled out of Captain Cook’s, we headed to the Bou-Tiki to check out the merch. And oh my GOD, the Poly has the best resort merch in the history of resort merch. It’s THAT good.

I was in love.

I looked in the Bou-Tiki for a Poly pin but they didn’t have them…?! I asked the CM and she said they probably have them at the pin place upstairs but they didn’t either. I found one at DTD when we went back later to get our car but I wasn’t a fan. I was hoping it would have a cute design on it but I didn’t like it at all. Oh well.

June 30th (part 7): The monorail crawl: food and pin trading style PART TWO and THE TWILIGHT ZONE

Continuing our monorail crawl, we went to the G Flo. That’s what I call it cause I am a gangstah. Not really.

Anyways, we got there and I obsessed over the floor. That’s moi for ya.

Like I said, WE NEED TO STAY HERE.

The band was playing on this fine night.

We were walking around on the second level when we heard people clapping and cheering. We thought there was maybe someone that just got married or something but I looked and there was an engagement happening! How sweet.

We browsed through the stores for a little bit.

Construction! And the Alice in Wonderland water play area thing.

Yours truly.

FLOWERRRSSSS.

We went downstairs and chilled on the giant couches for a while. And by that I mean we were there for like the next 20 minutes.

Mum had a pole up her butt…

After we got ourselves up off the couches—since that is a process since you sink almost to the floor BUT THEY ARE SO COMFY—we headed to the bus stop to head back to DTD.

But of course, mini photoshoots happen like every 20 seconds.

After we were done, we started to walk to the bus stop. That didn’t last long because I saw her. HER. I sprinted to the bus stop because I was so excited to see her.

That is why I sprinted. Do not judge moi.

It felt so amazing to be reunited with Stacey. Like, she is the most perfect human being to ever walk this planet, after Walt of course. He would be so proud of her.

I wanted to look at her and say “Did your parents ever teach you to not stare at people?!” I don’t even know WHY she was staring at moi. I mean, I know I am crazy and I have an obsession with Stacey, but it’s not over the top. Ok, maybe it is, but still.

A DTD bus came in like 10 minutes and I was crying. Tears were streaming down my face. Mum had to pull moi to the bus while I had a tantrum because I didn’t want to leave Stacey. I was screaming and crying and kicking, and ugh. It was just a mess.

That really happened. I couldn’t be making this stuff up.

A road was closed and I guess that was like the only way to DTD, so it took FOREVER to get there. Like almost 40 minutes. It was ridiculous.

Once we got there, we headed towards T-Rex and holy CRAP it was crowded.

We found our car and then drove to our hotel. Now, we looked to see if we could stay on property, but we wanted to save our points and there weren’t many rooms available or they were just too expensive. So Mum had some points with the hotel chain that owns the Radisson, so she booked two nights there. Since we really didn’t realize we would be going to the parks as much as we did, we wanted to stay closer to where we would be checking out houses, but seriously, checking out houses didn’t last long. And we spent most of our time at the parks, as you will see. So it was kind of a waste to stay 35-40 minutes away from Disney, but whatever. It was just a pain in the neck, that’s all.

So we put the address into our GPS and headed to the hotel. We got off the exit and headed to the road the hotel was supposed to be on. But Mum didn’t get the right address. I mean, she kinda did, but not since the hotel was on NORTH Some Road and not on Some Road. Yes, that was the name of the street. So we were cruising down Some Road when the GPS says “you have arrived” and there were just trees.

Great.

So we kept going for a few miles hoping we would find this hotel and there were just trees. And it was late so it was dark out and there were no street lights. So we decided to just take a u-turn in some apartment complex but then like five people turned on the same road we did so yeah, no u-turn. We kept driving into this apartment complex and it felt like the Twilight Zone. It was a little planned community with shops and restaurants and then houses. So we went down a few streets and turned around. Then I saw lights form a cop car and I was like “WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!” They were probably coming for us, let’s be real now.

We drove down Some Road and I found the right address for the hotel. After almost 25 minutes of being lost, we arrived at the Radisson and checked in.

We were on the fourth floor. Room 426. Important info, here.

The room was ok. It wasn’t like an all star or anything, so that’s always good.

There were some lovely pieces of art on the walls that looked like a five year old painted.

We had a great view.

We went to bed at 10:30. The beds were SO hard though and my back killed. It was a sleep number bed and I couldn’t make it soft. Wonderful…​

July 1st (part 1): House hunting and CHICKEN

Mum and I really couldn’t sleep this morning. We were up before seven, so we just got ready for the day.

In the midst of getting ready, I figured out how to make my bed softer, which was SO nice. It didn’t feel like sleeping on a rock anymore so YAY!

After we got ready, we were out the door and headed to Dunkin Donuts to get some breakfast. And this is when I really noticed how nice people are in FL. I’m used to grumpy ol’ dudes here in MA and when we got to FL, I was like “Toto, I don’t think we are in Massachusetts anymore.”

For breakfast, I got a coffee roll and Mum got some food. You’re welcome.

After breakfast, we were headed to the first house we were going to look at. We were with a new realtor in the same company since our realtor was on vacation and this new realtor was named Megan and she teaches hospitality at UCF! She was very nice.

So the first place we looked at was pretty decent. It was definitely the one we liked the least. It smelled like someone just smoked 10 packs of cigarettes in there. It was just not what we were looking for and we were ready to see the next place.

Our next stop was the one Mum was looking forward to seeing the most. From looking at the pictures online, I liked it a lot, and it was in a great area. We were looking at two condos here, and the first one was a 2 bedroom. Second, a 3 bedroom. The 2 bedroom was awesome. It was all redone, right on a private lake, and just all in all really nice. That was our first choice. Then we moved onto the 3 bedroom and it was just ok. It wasn’t recently redone and it was a foreclosure so it was kind of a… I don’t want to say disaster but you would just need to put in a lot of work into it and we couldn’t do that.

Next, we moved on to the last place. It was in an ok area, but it was kind of squished with a lot of other complexes. The condo itself was nice and it was in the process of being redone, so it looked like they were putting a lot of work into it. That was our in our top two with the 2 bedroom that we loved. So we talked it over with Megan and we were all ready to put in an offer for the 2 bedroom on the lake, since that is the one we liked the most. She was going to get back to us and send us the contract.

Long story short, they didn’t except our offer, which we were bummed about. It was just a coincidence that someone put in a verbal offer at the same time for more money, even though the place was on the market for a few months, so it seemed a little shady. And the place just came down on the market, after like a week. It was just weird.

Even though we liked the 4th one we saw, we wanted/needed to see more. And we are actually leaving tomorrow to do that… So we are going back to FL! We are going to be looking at places tomorrow and Wednesday and then coming back on Thursday morning. We are going to be looking at over 10 places and we are crossing our fingers! Like always, I will be live tweeting from the Sunshine State so FOLLOW MOI! (@lifedis). And sadly, we won’t have time to go to Disney, but I will live. We just spent a lot of time at the parks and we will be getting 4 weeks from yesterday so it’s all good.

After looking at those four places, we drove over to the high school I would probably be going to and it was HUGE. They had several different buildings which is a lot different than the one I would be going to here. It looked really nice!

Then I needed lunch. And there is only one place I wanted to go.

THE FEELS.

I basically ran inside and smelled the chicken goodness. AHHHH.

There was no line so I skipped right up and ordered.

We found a table and chowed down. I WAS SO EXCITED. JUST LOOK AT THE CHICKEN AND THE WAFFLE FRIES.

It was just perfection and I was in love.

After we finished eating, someone took our tray away and she started talking to us about moving to FL since Mum had some papers out. She was so sweet and told us how she loved living there.

We left Chick Fil A and got in the car. I put in the address FOR THE MAGIC KINGDOM and we were on our way!

We were almost to WDW when I said “we never go under the sign when driving in!” and then there it was.

HALLELUJAH!

I was peeing myself when we came up to this sign.

ADSJKADSKJ.

We parked in Hook and then took the tram to the TTC. It felt so weird to be doing that but I have to get used to it! And then I dropped my lens cap off of the tram. Oh lord…

Once we got to the TTC, we got on the MK monorail.

We got to MK and I was basically sobbing.

We walked through the turnstiles, and I was dead.

I WAS HOME QUEUE THE TEARS.

I think it is more a "we New Englanders can be kind of standoffish at times" thing. I can say this as a true born in MA living in NH New Englander myself.

I have been many other places in my travels and most all the places I have been the people tend to be much more friendly than here at home. I am not saying this is a good or a bad thing but just as an observation.

Perhaps it is in the water or perhaps it is the fact that our ancestors were the puritans but for better or worse it is kind of the truth.

July 1st (part 2): Meeting my favorite princess and Starsucks

We walked inside and then I was hit with all sorts of awesomeness. I WAS HOMEEEE.

We were on our way to City Hall, and then I saw Snow White was out so I ran over there like the 5 year old that I am. Seriously, I was SO EXCITED. Snow is my favorite princess so I was bouncing off the walls.

She was perfect.

I was so excited.

EEEEEEEEEEE.

I look so awkward in all of those pictures but WHO CARES SNOW WHITE. She told moi that she was with Wendy and Peter earlier (I was wearing my Peter Pan tank top, duh) and they were picking gooseberries together. And then I told her she was my favorite princess and THE FEELS.

After I died, we went to City Hall to exchange our paper APs to the new and improved plastic ones.

We also asked out renewing our DVC AP versus the FL resident AP because we wanted to find out prices and all. And they were the same price, which I thought was strange, but whatevs. And the CM thought that Passholders will get to use the Magic Bands, so that’s cool. Speaking of the bands, they have kiosks in City Hall for Magic Bands once like, they come out and all.

Then we HAD to get We’re Celebrating button cause OF REASONS.

I found a survey marker by the train station…

…and then I cried.

We headed into the Emporium because it started raining.

They had some really cute Storybook Circus mugs in there. I would’ve gotten one, but we have a bad mug obsession as it is, so I didn’t NEED it.

Mum got a text from our realtor saying that she needed a paper from us. And we needed to fax it over to her. Now, we were thinking that we should just head over to City Hall, but we asked a CM just in case and if they knew if it was actually possible to fax something via THE MAGIC KINGDOM. She said she thought it would be fine, so we went back over to City Hall and faxed something. That was a first.

After that, we walked right down the middle of Main Street USA and then I saw it. And if you are thinking I mean the castle, you would be wrong.

One word, folks.

Starsucks.

I MEAN STARBUCKS.

A lot of people think “oh wow, what a great addition to Main Street… now we can get good coffee… oh I just love Starbucks! AND I love Disney! This is so great!”

I hate those people. And the people that like the whole alcohol in MK thing, but we aren’t getting into that right now.

And I think this is going to be my first rant for the TR! YOU’RE WELCOME NEW READERS!!!!

So yeah. I hate having Starbucks on Main Street. Don’t get moi wrong, I like Starbucks. Outside of Disney. It RUINS the Main Street Bakery. We went in there and I lost it because it was HORRENDOUS. I will never go in there ever again because it is that bad. That is my personal opinion, so I better not get stupid comments. Just sayin’. It just ruins the atmosphere of the Bakery. The Main Street Bakery was one of my favorite places in all of Disney, and now it is just ruined. Disney did a bad job on that. I know many people are upset about this change, and it is not cool dudes. I refuse to walk around the Magic Kingdom with one of those stupid cute Disney Starbucks cups. I was disappointed seeing people with those stupid cute cups. It is just ridiculous. Like, go get Starbucks outside of the Magic Kingdom. PLEASE. And y’all should see Fountain View at Epcot. That place is GUTTED. And I heard a rumor that Starbucks will replace Starring Rolls at MGM, and if that happens, I will REALLY lose it. It won’t be pretty. AT ALL.

And that is the end of my rant about Starsucks.

I was not thrilled.

Even though I didn’t want to go inside, I had to see a glimpse. And then huffed and puffed and cried.

I feel bad for that CM.

After I finished crying, we headed into Tomorrowland and got FPs for Buzz, even though that ride stinks.

Then we took a spin on the TTA, because it was its birthday on this day! I mean, we would’ve ridden it anyways, but it was an extra special occasion.

The TTA got two thumbs up from moi, like always.
