Has anyone used their old mugs lately? Are they still good or have they all been phased out? We will be at WL in early Dec. and wondered whether to take them or leave them home.

Oh dear -- the Great Mug Debate is reopened  ...

You'll get lots of varying opnions on this from all sides. WDW policy is the mug is good for "the length of your stay" so I would take that to mean that you cannot re-use old mugs, but must/should buy a new one. If I used this program, that's what I would do.

Having said that, I see people bringing in new mugs, old mugs, other resort mugs, other vacation spot mugs, 7-11 Big Gulp cups, coffee cups, glass bottles, etc. to "refill."

As with most things at WDW, it all depends on the CM on duty at the cash register.

Thanks. That was what I was thinking their intent was. Have a great day.

After all the mug debate, DH and I were nosey.
We were at ASMu mid October. We noticed each time in the ASMU food court about every kind of old/new Disney mug imaginable was being used by other guests. Even DCL. No CM gave a second glance or cared.

I was just at the WL last week for a visit. There was a sign right outside Roaring Forks that said that mugs were good for your entire vacation. To me, that means, that one vacation. I don't know if they will say anything to you there but they do at the Poly. We were also there last week and someone had the nerve to try to fill their WL mug there. A CM came right over and told them they could not do that. She said the mug is a one time visit at the resort purchased only. So instead of putting out $11 they left in a huff. I'm glad to see the CM following the rules.

I was at ASSp last month. Having seen thos topic before my trip I was more noticable on what the guests were using to fill their drinks. The curredt mugs has "100 years of mgic' theme on them. So the current mugs were noticeable. The sign say free refills for you entire stay. No mention of 'current' just stay. I did not see any mugs from other resorts but I did see some older All Star mugsand also super glulps from 7-11. The CM seem to keep a blind eye.
If one was to stay at more than one resort during a 'curent' stay I think they should be allowed to use them for their whole stay. Why should a gueest have to fork out $11 every time you change resorts. If you stayed at one resort you could use it for your entire stay.
