Muddy Buddy Training!

Got in a quick run 1.5 miles today. Just sort of a cool down run for me, wanted to do something. That will become my "down" day ritual. I'm still slow, about 13 mins for 1.5 miles but getting faster.
Good job Don. I had my rest day yesterday that involved a lot of eating for Easter. I'll get back at it today.
 
Way to go Don. It seems like you are improving on your time and distance. Have you noticed any weight loss, weight gain, or muscle build since you started training?

yes, although I lost a lot of weight before I started official training, I have been working out and getting in shape for a while already. I dropped approx 40lbs in the last year or so. Since I notched up the training I have been down 4-5 lbs, but I am getting stronger for sure. A year ago I was benching max around 150 and now I'm above 200.

Wow! 40lbs...That's great Puck! We'll have some breathing room to pig out on the cruise. Phew! :laughing: After the Muddy Buddy we'll all deserve it.
 
Had a great workout today! Some bench, pushups, good core work and a 1.5 mile run at a record setting pace of 11:40. That almost killed me....

Nice job Don, on the weight loss and the running. You all need to eat some on the cruise for me. Lift a glass, and eat some ice cream.

Today after work I did 3.75 miles in 29 min. I felt good. I really pushed the pace (for me). Mondays are a good day to try to run fast because I'm all rested up from the rest day on Sunday.

Don't worry about it Aaron. I go through stages where I don't do anything because of soreness, injury or plain old laziness. It happens. Just be sure to get back at it when you're up to it. :thumbsup2

I took the day off today! I needed a break after a hard 3-4 days in a row. Feels good. Tomorrow back on the horse.

It's always amazing to me how much my legs bounce back after I give them a rest day.

Oh I forgot to say, I did 3 miles on the treadmill today.
 
We ran on a track yesterday instead of the treadmills. It does make all the difference. I didn't want to stop. It felt good. But DP's legs were sore and it was time for yoga, so I had to. Biked 7 miles afer yoga. I feel AWESOME this morning!:goodvibes:yay::yay:(jumping jack smiley)
I think I am going to go for a run in the morning before work, get the heart pumping a little earlier.
