MSNBC Suspends Imus After Racial Remarks

I used to work for BET and spoke to Bob Johnson PERSONALLY about the image he's portraying in those disgusting videos. I guess we have those videos and you have "Girls Gone Wild"... both are WRONG and not accepted in society but guess what, sex sells and as NAUSEATING as they are they will always exist.

Oh! Are there no black, Latin or even Asian ladies on these videos? I don't personally watch them but I doubt they are segregated only to one race.

There will always be someone offending someone else, it exists. The only difference between then and now is the people who are the victims of the offense are no longer rolling over and taking it. If someone called your wife and her club members a bunch of "fat a$$ hoes" I'm sure you would just say "get over it"... huh?.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Do I care when someone calls me fat? Not really, other's opinion of me is just that... their opinion. Why should it hurt my feelings? They don't know me and I don't know them.

Tavis Smiley said it best this morning "it makes no sense to be reactive but to be PROactive". Instead of getting POed about this mess but to try to fix the problems that allow us to continually be seen in such a derogatory manner... including the DISGUSTING booty shaking videos and gangsta rap throwing around terminology that we don't want to hear from anybody but allow in certain medium. It's disheartening that this kind of diatribe only comes about when it's put upfront on tape like this instead of just kept amongst peers.[/b]

Agreed! I don't want to be lumped into the Girl's Gone Wild bunch so I don't attend. I think we as a society need to work on the way we are portrayed as a whole. If one race doesn't want to be known as some of the derogertory names that exist... then please, stop calling yourselves those names! It's that simple... and it's not my fault or even Imus' that people say such nasty remarks.

Really, the rhetoric is starting to venture into LaLa Land with each person trying to prove how open-minded they are.

Really, some people are very comfortable with themselves that if someone says something that is not true, they shrug their shoulders and go on with life.

Btw, both Jackson and Sharpton have criticized the black rappers and hip-hop music in general for their language towards black women.

BTW--Jackson is anti Semitic. It is his right to be so, I am just informing those who do not know this. And Sharpton is a racist as well. Who really cares what those two have to say?
