MS Problem and three calls to fix

Call One: Booked trip for two (me and mom) for the first part of April. MS never even asked who my second guest was.

Call Two: Called to add magical express and the reservation pulls up for me and my Dh. Dh isn't going on the trip. It is my mom. I give them her name.

Call Three: Happen to call for another reason, and when they pull the trip up it still shows Dh and myself. I again add my mom

NOTE: Call Two and Call Three took place a week and a half apart.

Why does this happening? Should I even be concerned? If they mess up and keep Dh on the reservation, will my mom and I have a problem checking in?

Sorry this happened. But don't worry, as long as you are with your Mom, there shouldn't be a problem checking in. You can fix the names at check in if necessary. (I assume you are a listed owner with your DH). It will just make the check in process last a little longer than it otherwise would.

I think there may be some newer people taking calls at MS. I made a ressie about two weeks ago for someone else. They took her name but didn't ask who the second person was. When the confirmation arrived, they also had left my address under her name. I called so they could put her address under her name so it would match her identification when she checks in. The CM on the phone the second time was surprised they hadn't done this. She also said, "they didn't get the name of the second guest either, do you have it?" So clearly, the second time I spoke to a more experienced CM at MS.

I have made several reservations for people other than myself and they have NEVER asked for their address. I always want the confirmation to come to me first, and I would imagine that most people would prefer that. I definitely don't want someone else's address cluttering up my records with MS.

Also, I don't always know, particularly well in advance, who will be in a room on a visit and/or don't have time to go through all of that at the moment I make the reservation so I often wait to add that info later.

My situation wasn't exactly the same... I booked ressies for my upcoming trip for 3 people. 1 of them had to backout a few months ago so I called to remove her from the ressie. Well, then last month she learns that she will be able to go, so I had to call to add her back.

Well, when I called to add her back, the CM said, "Oh, she was only removed for the first day, she's still on the reservation for the rest of the week so I'll just add her back on the first day."

As a sidenote, it was a little confusing because my trip has 3 different ressie numbers (but all linked) because I forgot to ask them to add to my existing ressie. However, I told them this when I called to remove her.

Oh well, it all worked out in the end. Everyone has received their DME packets and anxious to get going!

Umm... 4 more days!

Thanks for the reminder!!! You reminded me to check on my Dec. ressies to see if they actually were linked.... They were not! A quick call to MS got that straightened out. We are staying the first night in a studio, then 5 nights in a 2 bedroom, followed by 4 nights in a 1 bedroom. I requested a lock-off and for them to be linked so we wouldn't have to move. I noticed the error when there was no full cleaning listed on any of the ressies, but all trash and towel services. I really would not have been happy sleeping on the same sheets for 11 nights!
