MS Cancelled my Segway Tour instead of my Dining Plan!!!

Unbelievable, the cm's are so untrained. This morning, I wanted to switch to CS dining plan from Deluxe dining plan. Instead of cancelling a dining reservation, she cancels my Segway Tours!! Now, it will take a couple of months for that refund to show on my credit card, and they want to rebook the tours but need to recharge me again!! I am having a manager look into this as I am not tying up over $500 for thier mistake! I think I was not meant to take this tour......:sad2:
 
There are a number of CMs who are exceptional, and then there are the new folk - who, hopefully, will someday be at the same level. Sounds like you ran into a new one.

Sorry to hear that happened to you, you're right - everything happens for a reason. Maybe there's a better one with your name on it ;)

This is very scary, I made so many changes to my ressie for my May at Vero and I had to double check online all the time. Maybe it's their way of telling us to stop making changes :goodvibes.
 

You know, I thought to myself..." I hope this doesn't get screwed up!" before dialing the phone. The MS Manager called me back.....this whole problem is based on their computer systems!!!!!! My segway tour and Whispering Canyon ressie all look the same in the computer. Just says reservation at Wilderness Lodge (I don't have the exact words). Nothing to dilineate a dining reservation from a tour.( FW Segway tour is held at Wilderness Lodge/FW.) So just by opening the link, it opened the wrong reservation, but also GENERATED A REFUND! No chance to pick a cancellation once it was opened (I guess maybe the CM chose cancellation prior to opening the link?:confused3) Anywayyyyyy......the manager gave me a new reservation number for the same times for the FW Segway tour, and ASSURED ME no extra charges would be applied to my CC. They are taking care of this from the Tours end, not from MS end. Even if a credit were to show up, they can reverse the credit...so I am told! You best believe I will be watching my CC statement like a hawk; I have the MS manager's name. (Let's hope he is still there should I have problems in the next few weeks! :rolleyes:)
 
It is amazing how many of the problems that arise come from a poorly implemented IT reservation system.

Glad the manager hopefully got it “straitened out”.

In this day and age it is just silliness that MS does not have an easy to use system, not to mention that we can not see all our requests and reservations on line to verify them.

I always check my ressies and any changes on line, and I also call back and talk to a different cm to verify them. There are plenty of inefficient cm's these days.
 
That CM must be new and saw the word "wildnerness" and didn't realize that Fort Wildnerness and the Wildnerness Lodge are two separate resorts. FW Segway tour is at FW, not WL. We use to stay at FW all the time (until we bought DVC) so we are looking forward to our segway tour in May! And when I call in a few days to change an ADR, I'll be making sure I have them check and re-check all my reservations!

We did the segway tour in epcot, it rocked!

We're planning on doing the FW tour this december when we're at VWL. You'll have a lot of fun!
