Mr Potato Head tip?

As well as Downtown Disney, they now have this in the Magic Kingdom in Mickey's Toontown Fair. The big store there called County Bounty. Have fun filling the box for $16!!!

My potato from my thrift store worked fine with the Disney parts.

If you make the "Potato Head" postcards--look on the back for the trivia--take a moment to do it, it's fun--take to a salesclerk when you are done, they will give you an "award certificate" and a free can of playdough.

Don't forget the arms!!!

If you haven't read the other warnings, I thought I should stress this. We were there a year ago and stuffed our boxes with things, since we already had two potatoes at home. I didn't worry with arms, either, so we could fit more Disney themed balloons, autograph books, and ice cream bars.

Alas, our potatoes can only look longingly at their lovelies, because they haven't arms that will grasp them. We go every two years, so with one year down and one to go, someday our spuds will get to enjoy those goodies. Don't torture your potatoes like we did! Buy the arms!

We're going Jan 13th..we'll get you some arms. We have to pick up a Mr P for someone and we'll stick two extra sets of arms in. Your job is to remember to post to me on Jan 22, and remind me who we got them for. If you post here, and then PM me with your addy, I'll get them out to you.

They told us YES to stuff the head, but then we decided against getting the head and decided to pick one up at walmart when we got home, that way we could get more parts! That was the BEST thing we got at Disney! We are still playing with it! :))

DMRick --

Thank you very much! And our potato heads thank you, too!

I will post again on 1/22 and PM you then!

And our potato heads thank you, too!

I'm sure they would like to shake my hand..but seeing as how they don't have a hand....

I had that same mean cm likely.

He took the fun out of the stuffing the potatoe head. My boxed closed but not the way he wanted it to close.
No bulging sides.

Oh, I think that my 2 year old would love this. DMRick, I might have to hunt you down to pack the box for me. You'll be there the same time as me. :) Just a thought, but wouldn't it be a lot smarter for me to go to Target and buy the Potato Head and then get the parts at Disney? This would be a great birthday present. If I do it that way, though, I have to remember the arms! I never realized that there were special Disney pieces.

Oh one other question on this - how big is the box? I just looked over at ebay to see the pieces you can get. How cute!

Definatley. I bought my head at garage sales.

Box is 7 X5 X4 with a slanted top..you have to be able to hook it closed. The first week it opened, anythign went..but they are stricter now.
Oh my..you'll be at POP too!! We'll be there the 13 - 21

My husband got 72 pieces in our box including two pairs of sandals, a pair of shoes, two teacups, and tons of others stuff. I got greedy and told him one more. Then he broke the box. He had to start all over again :( The CM finally took pity on him and let us have the stuff we'd had in the box. I think she just wanted us to leave!

We wish we had had the same CM when we tried the fill a box with Lincoln Logs. That CM was a stickler that the boxtop had to fold flat or no deal. I told him politely that it was a shame we were five logs over the "limit" because it lost Disney a $14 sale. Also, they post various free Lincoln Logs "blueprints", the implication being that you can build those projects with one boxful. Not true and I heard other people's children cajoling their parents into buying TWO boxes just so the kids can build the posted projects. Watch out for that scheme. Needless to say, we left the store without any Lincoln Logs, although we did take our free project plans.

We never made it to DTD this past trip, but did do the Potato Head at Epcot (Mouse Gears). I wish I knew about the Lincoln Log Deal. My dd LOVES them! Is there anyway you can make a copy of the "blueprints" for my dd? Since they are free in the store, I didn't think it was unethical to post this. We defintely have to make time for DTD next trip for those logs! I;ll send you a
SASE if you want!

If I can find them, sure! I don't know how to send you a PM?

Just click on the little space that says PM on our replies (bottom line before the next reply). That will do a private message.

DMRick: I've PMed you! Thank you!

This is what I get for heading back to school and neglecting the DIS!

Just wanted to let everyone know that they have the Potoato Head Section at the Pop Century Gift Shop. I was tempted but I didn't do it. I'm glad to know though that you can just fill the box with pieces and no potato as I was wondering this while I was looking at them. Maybe next time. I think my boys would enjoy them.

So for those of you who have done the lincoln logs--about how many canyou fit in the box?? Is it a decent deal for $14? We will be there in Mar and already have the Potato head, but didn't notice the logs last trip.

Thanks!!
