Movie Library ?

Today was the first time I logged into the DVC member website. I noticed under the amenities it listed a "Movie Library" Can you tell me what is this.Is there a charge for this service ? Sorry but I seached online and couldn't find any info .Thanks.

Each DVC resort does have movies that members may check out for free during their visit. At VWL and BCV, they are kept at the gift shop in the main building. I would think they are also in the gift shops at OKW, BWV and SSR. We also saw them at VB, but I believe there, they are in the building by the pool.

This was great!! My DD went wild checking out the older Disney movies at BWV, like Snowball Express and No Deposit, No Return. They were great during our afternoon downtime and in the evenings. I didn't realize you could get them at BCV too. We watched the classic Disney cartoon channel during our time at BCV and I thought I would scream if I saw Little Hiawatha one more time!

At BWV the Movie Library is at the Community Hall at the Quiet Pool. They have a notebook (more than one?) full of movies -- Disney classics, Playhouse Disney TV shows, and a whole lot more -- actually a pretty good selection!!! You just need to show room key/dvc membership and sign a form... they have a return slot outside the door in case the bldg is closed when you want to return it.

We used this "perk" at the VWL on our last trip. If you are staying there, you can check out the movies from the store in the main lobby area.

It's pretty much the same at SSR...we used this on our Christmas trip...it was a nice way to relax in the room one night. I don't recall any drop box at SSR though...we just returned it to the gift shop (where we borrowed.) I do recall that we could only borrow 1 DVD each time. I was really surprised at the selection...mostly PG rated movies, some G, some PG-13, and even a few R....I didn't even realized Disney had any R rated movies...then I realized they were the subsidary companies. So, there is a variety for everyone to be happy.

You will need to be in a 1BR or larger unit to have a video player. Just ask when you check in for the location, each resort has the videos, but in different locations.

At OKW, the movie library is in the community room along with Hank's rent and return.
