I just went to my local card store to look for another webkinz for the easter basket. They are getting more webkinz in this week.
They have a big display of new stuffed toys with a code attached. These stuffed animals are by the stuffed animal company Russ. They are called Shinning Star. You enter your code online and name your star. You can keep track of your star and track it online. Something like this??? You can also play games, etc.The owner of the store told me that these are supposed to be better than webkinz. He put the display up and within the day, almost all of them are gone. Sure they cost $13.99. $3 more than webkinz. He also said that Ty is coming out with something next month, but it is gearing more towards girls.

My DD loves Webkinz, she only plays 30 minutes or so and gets bored. She's that way with her Gameboy too, I guess she just can't sit still long enough. TV however is a different story.

Have you seen the Bella Sara trading cards with horses on them? They are supposed to be similar to webkinz. I've got a friend who has one kid immersed in Webkinz and now the older one addicted to the horses.

I'm off to look for some Bella Sara cards now. My dd just started on the website and now wants the cards. We got a couple at Five Below for $2 a pack but there supposed to be at Walmart and Kmart too. I have to kick her off the computer after a while, but she enjoys it and if there are no friends around, its okay.

We're hoping to avoid the whole Webkinz wave, just like we did with Pokemon and Bratz.

DD9 and DS9 love neopets.com and that's free. So far they seem content.

Guess we'll have to see about all the other competitors' sites/toys/stars/cards.

I have three sons, 10, 8, 5.. they all love them. (they liked stuffed animals, and computers games.. this is up their alley).

at webkinz.com there is a store locator. They are at hallmark, and other specialty gift shops. Here, they are $9 for the small and $11 for the big, but, the price varies by 1-2 dollars around the country. Online, there is no difference in access to the website between the two sizes.

My boys' grandma is getting them each one more for Easter. She's goign to be a super cool grandma.

Me too! I went onto their website but I called a few of the places that they said sold them & they say they don't sell them. So any hints on where to get them would be helpful! I tried Five Below, Wal-mart & Kmart.

I found some of the Bella Sara Trading cards at Target and also Block Buster Video store. I hope this helps you. Good luck in your search. I think there were $1.99 a package.
