Mousesavers reporting a huge deal for first half of 2009 coming tomorrow!

I am confused, I got behind on this post because I had class last night and then bed. Has the deal been posted? People are talking about 40% off rooms and gift cards. Is this the deal? Thanks for any replies to alliviate my confused mind!

Any theories out there as to whether or not Disney will include the DDP in the "free" 3 days if you're paying for the remaining 4 days??

Personally, for me, that would be the deal breaker, and I honestly can't see how they can not NOT include it for free. Money wise, it would seem to break out just about even (or about as even as a 40% room discount or free dining all together). Perhaps if Disney is not paying for the DDP for the 3 days that's why they are offering the $200 gift card? Any thoughts?

I just don't know. I mean the free dining in September saved us a little over a thousand bucks. It could be a little sweeter pot, I'm not sure. Maybe free deluxe dining with a room discount.

 If you already booked a package (like we did for april) will you have to cancel then rebook, or apply a code to an existing reservation? I have a pretty good deal at CR already, but would cancel and rebook if I could get a few more hundred off......:flower3:

Mary oh Mary.....

Are you guys going to update your website at 5:00 p.m.? What time zone are you in so we can keep watch?

Thanks!

6 more hours :headache:

Does anyone know if they "limit" the offers to a certain number of people? Do I need to drill DH will facts and figures or can it wait until 6pm EST.

I have run numbers, done this, done that but....I will be at work and DH will be driving so I told Dh to take a pen and paper and BE READY!!

I took that to mean that the dining would not be free for the 7 days but couldn't the deal turn out to be that you pay for a 4 day pkg with tix and dining and you get the next 3 days of the pkg free?

I will update my site just as soon as the information is officially released. Hopefully that will be at 5:00 pm today, Eastern time.

What are the chances this could be a land and sea package? Do they ever offer good discounts for those? I have seen a couple different specials lately for the cruise so maybe attendance is down. I would love to do a land and sea package with a good deal.

um....I've seen it said repeatedly on theDIS that packages can't be cancelled after teh 45 day mark. This simply isn't true. There are small penalties under the 45 day mark, but you can still cancel.

For most of that time the fee is $50 for changes (usually only ones that reduce the overal cost) and $100 for cancellations. (and sometimes I think they will give it back if you rebook at teh same time, though I've never done it.)

That is a great point and might be the case, right now all we are doing is guessing. We need to wait till 5:00 to find out.

The deal sounds good but not good enough for us unfortunately. We were planning on going in January but can't really go for 7 nights. Plus the extra spending on those 3 additional dates would be too much. Now, if free dining was included, then I think I could find a way to go! :)

Stinks, that this board has made me miss my Department Head meeting. Where we were supposed to discuss concerns for FY10.

A question for pros...we'd be a first time visitor. We have planned to go for 6 nights in Dec 2009 when our twins will have turned 3 (Sep 09). If we utilize this big promo and go in Jan/Feb 2009 instead, the kids would be free so no paying for their park tickets. I did some quick math, if I kept our room at ASMu Suite and went in Jan, the savings would be $640 plus we'd get to stay an extra night. OR we could upgrade to Poly GV and save $130. This is all given that rooms are available etc. Now let me cut to the chase, do you think two year olds would enjoy the Poly more than than three year olds at ASMu with all the over the top theming? I figure this promo is the only way we could ever swing a deluxe and a monorail one at that which may be good for little ones. What do you all think?

I think Mom & Dad would appreciate the proximity to MK & Epcot more at the Poly. IMO much quicker to take the monorail back to the Poly (from MK or monorail back to TTC & walk to Poly) than bus back to ASMu, if cranky kids need a break.

Have a great trip whatever you decide. :)
