"Mothers don't stop Getting angry with stupid bigots who (mess) with their children!"

We all find things "morally objectionable" -- but we don't have to go on a discussion boad and spew it over and over. I personally find it morally objectionable to take over every single college thread, be LAUGHED :lmao: at about our college choices and tell the world that your state is better than anyone elses'... but HEY, those of us on those threads are subjected to it. :confused3

Oh, snap! :lmao:

and ftr, here's the gay lifestyle:

Get up, go to work, pick up milk 'n bread on the way home, feed the kids, check their homework, put 'em to bed, watch a li'l tv (maybe even dwts), bathe 'n go to bed. Repeat the next day.

And worry about tax increases, health insurance costs, kids' education, home improvements, etc.

And do it all regardless of our second class citizenship. :)

Have I told you lately that I looooove you? You are so funny! :rotfl2:

Seems the whole thing has come down to "semantics" and what was a direct quote of a Mother defending her child.

ALL of us would do the same thing, I've seen DIS Moms go ballistic over MUCH less.

We can make the choice to back off and not mention any of this or defend it as you do and be called whatever. It's the AMERICAN way! :snooty:

Sorry, I'd have answered ya sooner, but I was vaccumin' the gay house, foldin' the gay clothes 'n decidin' what to have for gay lunch. :teeth:

I've learned it's hard for some folks to realize we as a society evolve whether they agree or not, that's the nature of education. ;)

The problem is that too many people now believe in indoctrination, rather than education.

After all, it's much easier to have someone (or some "group") TELL you what to think, than actually learn to think for yourself... and people are nothing if not lazy!

What do gay people eat for lunch? Happy meals and smiley potatoes?

Oh can I come over for gay lunch?! Please?! There'll be maribou and pink cocktails and frilly appetizers, right?!

Again, Chaz Bono - not gay, so I don't quite know how a discussion of not wanting to see the neon gay people got in the thread.

WOW this thread is something. You can always look to the CB for something juicy!

As for the original topic I'm very much up in the air about it. At what point do we say no this just isn't correct. We have allowed almost every type of "lifestyle" to exist. There are still things we as a society view as wrong but when will those become ok? I don't think we are that far from seeing that happen, the way we are going. Bigot or not there is something wrong with this, to me. You are born female YOU ARE A FEMALE! Born a Male you are a Male. Whether or not mentally you can relate is another topic that needs someone with a PHD. I feel for theses people, I do. To me it still boarders on something mentality wrong like a misfire so to speak. If in your head you don't feel like a female even though clearly downstairs you are isn't that a mental problem? I'm not being snarky. Seriously posing the question.
As for those say well it's not my business? Why isn't it? What IS your business then?

I just think it's insane how much our faces have to be rubbed in it. Not everyone is going to accept it and not everyone wants to see it.

She will always really be Chasity Bono she will always REALLY be a female.

:lmao: I'm wondering that, too. I am getting tired of having the same ol' straight lunch every day. Maybe I should try a gay lunch.

We don't say 'no this just isn't correct' as long as what you're talking about isn't harming anyone (who doesn't consent to be harmed). That's how it works.

There are plenty of Ph.Ds who have studied this for decades - you apparently disagree with them, because this is a recognized disorder and the recognized treatment is to change the body.

The other issue here is this 'how much our faces are rubbed in it' thing. How, again, is anyone's face rubbed in it any more than anyone's face is rubbed in anything that exists?

and on top of it Chasity has probably one of the most well aged mothers out there. She is beautiful and from every report a very nice person HOW COULD YOU NOT want to be female.

I have a question about this part.

If anyone changes their name, do you then say they'll always be whatever was originally was or is still on their birth certificate?

Do you know people who changed their names after they got married? Do you tell them they'll always really be whatever their name used to be? If someone is adopted do you tell them they'll always REALLY be whatever their name was on their first birth certificate?

If someone you know gets a **** job, do you tell them they'll always REALLY be flat chested? Do you tell someone with a nose job they'll always REALLY have a big honker? Do you tell someone who lost weight they'll always REALLY be fat?

People change their bodies and names all the time and something tells me you respect them and those changes. Just not... this one.

I don't know what Cher being nice has to do with it - men aren't nice? Nor do I think Cher is aging well, though it's impossible to tell, given how much she's altered her face.

Aside from that though - is your father nice? Is he handsome? HOW COULD YOU NOT want to be male?

Oh lord, we definitely need drinks:

Non alcoholic on the other table. ;)

What do gay people eat for lunch? Happy meals and smiley potatoes?

With rainbow sprinkles.

As for the original topic I'm very much up in the air about it. At what point do we say no this just isn't correct.

When it hurts other people.

We have allowed almost every type of "lifestyle" to exist.

Yep. That's why we rock. :thumbsup2 But by "allowing them to exist" I assume you mean "not hunting them down with torches and pitchforks." Because it's not like we're granting them all of the rights that those of us with the "correct lifestyle" enjoy.

There are still things we as a society view as wrong but when will those become ok?

Examples? What are these other lifestyles that don't hurt any other people but are still wrong and you are concerned they will become okay?

To me it still boarders on something mentality wrong like a misfire so to speak. If in your head you don't feel like a female even though clearly downstairs you are isn't that a mental problem? I'm not being snarky. Seriously posing the question.

Well, it IS a misfire. And since you can't change the brain to make it believe it's one gender, you do the one thing you can do - change the body to match the brain.

As for those say well it's not my business? Why isn't it? What IS your business then?

What IS my business? The state of my own genitalia. Not anyone else's. (Well, maybe my husband's.)

I just think it's insane how much our faces have to be rubbed in it. Not everyone is going to accept it and not everyone wants to see it.

How is it being rubbed in your face? Has someone knocked on your door or something? All I know about is a television show that I, personally, have never even watched, so it seems ridiculously easy to not see it. What am I missing? What has happened to you that makes you feel transgendered people have been "rubbed in your face?"

Jeez... a whole lot of prying into other people's lives going on in this thread. The whole "Don't call me a bigot because I'm morally opposed to this" thing is completely ridiculous. No one's going to call you a bigot because you're morally opposed to, say, people smoking in the car with their kids, windows rolled up and all. I don't know anyone who wouldn't be morally opposed to that. Even when it comes to things that are less universally recognized as objectionable--take veganism, for example. Vegans find leather, cheese, and honey to be morally objectionable, but you wouldn't call them a bigot. You get called a bigot when you're "morally objected" to who someone is innately--that's why you're a bigot if you're racist and you're a bigot if you're sexist, and you're a bigot if you're "morally objected" to the fact that some people are transgender. And trying to hide behind "Well I don't want to see them KISSING!!! of all things" is just silly and transparent.
