Most Romantic Restaurants?

I don't find Le Cellier romantic at all...the tables are very close and it can get pretty loud (BTW, same can be said about Alfredos). Having said that, I find it to be a fantastic restaurant and would go for the food!

Maybe I'm weird, but sometimes I just love sitting at the chef's bar in restaurants...I think those are so romantic. You are away from the commoners ;) and can snuggle next to your honey plus you have a fun view of the chef's cooking. Flying Fish has a great bar as does Wolfgang's Pucks. I'm pretty sure CG has one too, but I've never sat there.

Have a great honeymoon!

Man, we might be separated at birth or something ;) (also regarding that cheese and wine comment from another thread) I think those bars are romantic as well! We always have the best and most romantic times when we're seated there.

I plan to try the cooking area seatings at every restaurant I can. :) So now we have to try it at CA Grill, Wolfgang Puck's, Flying Fish...does Citricos?

I am about to drag it off topic....but I just came back from sitting at the "Chef's Counter" at CG. It was incredible. I love interacting with the Chefs etc.

Thing to note about CG. They have the "Sushi" Counter that seats 4 people side by side AND a "Chef's" Counter that only seats 2 people.

They don't take reservations (PS, or whatever they are calling it now) for either of the counters.

Are we going to be at WDW during the same week? We're 10.1 - 10.6

I'm not sure about Citricos; I have PSs there once but we never made it. Wolfgang Pucks downstairs was more of a sushi bar but that counts right? When we went last year we ate in the bar area (same as the sushi bar part) which I also find romantic. I know that makes me super strange, but I prefer secluded spots in happening places. I can't stand a place that is so stuffy and quiet...I don't care how good the food is. I think that's why I disliked BlueZoo.

I'll do some more research and let you know what I find on WDW cooking areas.

Mention the two I've been to:

Le Cellier: Great food - especially for the money, but no view (in the basement at the Canada pavillion), theme park (lots of families, lots of people dressed particularly theme parky).

Narcooses: Great food again - great view. Romantic location. Loud. Open kitchen. Its the "fancy" restaurant I was comfortable taking two kids who don't know what an inside voice is to. I don't find it romantic.

My husband has been to Artist's Point and raved about it. Quieter. He thinks its romantic.

I've always been attracted to (but haven't gone to) Flying Fish - I think its noisy, though.

Personally, I'd avoid anything in a theme park for romance (except Bistro de Paris, and you've already nixed that).

Check out my location ;)

As long as I don't get a job out of the area when I graduate, I will be dashing over to Epcot right after work on Sept 30 with FH in tow.

Lucky you living so close! We aren't going into the parks our first day, but I plan on hitting the F&WF several days while we are there.

Oh I also just thought about Fultons..they don't have a chef's area per se, but I've eaten at their bar several times. The one time I ate at a regular table, we had the worst server experience ever and haven't been back since. But I would eat at the bar again. :teeth:

And as for Citrico's, some website said it has an exhibition cooking area, so maybe you can sit and watch? I'd call and ask.

I don't know if we'll ever get to Fulton's, FH doesn't like seafood and I only like crab and fried squid. :(

As for Citricos, we plan on playing it by ear either way...we'll be happy if there is a bar area, but if not we'll still be happy. I have to make sure we try new places, or we keep going back to the same ones over and over.

Great thread!!!

Our honeymoon is in September! :lovestruc

I'll be reading and printing this thread tonight (I'm about to leave work)

For us, it's 'Ohana, since we got married barefoot on Cocoa Beach and honeymooned on the Big Island of Hawaii. :)

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this but I would definitely recommend the San Angel Inn in Epcot's Mexico. It is inside the large Mayan Pyramid towards the back. It looks like you are dining outside at night under the sky, very dimly lit with candles, and you have a view of the river (part of the mexico attraction) and an erupting volcano. Go to www.allearsnet.com to the menu section to look at a complete menu :goodvibes

:cool1:
Artists Point
Blue Zoo
Our all time Spanish rest in Celebration is
The Columbian*(Best Sangria you'll ever have)
We hang out at Celebration at night, it's very quiet and there's also a great Tapas Bar there as well :goodvibes
also a great Japanese Rest.
Celebration Hotel has a great quiet place where there's a piano bar area

We do alot of off property now that the kids are older and can go to DQ

Happy Honeymoon :cloud9:
and enjoy yourselves

Pixie Dust to all!

Artist Point. Not as fancy as V&A, perhaps, but very upscale. Excellent and unique entrees, topnotch wine list, superb service, quiet, romantic, great ambience (which extends to the whole WL, esp. the lobby), and you can take a quiet walk around the grounds after. Oh, and if you request, you can get a seat by the windows looking toward the lake, though you might have to wait a few extra minutes to get it. Can't recommend it enough.

If you're staying at the GF, then Citrico's is definitely more adult oriented than Narcoosee's. We ate at both last year and I would think you could have a nice romantic dinner there. I find that my dining experience mainly depends on my server; if you get a bad one, then your whole dinner can be affected. So you never know.
We ate at Cali Grill last week and I would think that could also be romantic, but we tend to eat early around 5:30-6:30 before it gets too crowded.
Other suggestions I agree with:
Artist Point
Shula's
Palio

Congratulations and enjoy making those PS's!
