most over rated ride?

I agree with Nemo, I like all the others (soarin, TT, MS, BTMR)...except: POTC. Lousy animatronics and a couple of Johnny Depp updates...meh! i will do it with 5 minutes or less waiting...

For me, it's "Journey into Imagination". I have seen all three versions and have never figured out what everyone was crowing about...

Lame...

Horizons wasn't all that great either...

Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. I just didn't find it that funny, although DH loved it. And the ride in Mexico--whatever they now call it; it has to be the most BORING ride ever.

Oh boy, I'm probably going to get flamed for this one, but I would have to say Space Mountain. I mean, I can appreciate the nostalgia and all that, and I appreciate how innovative it was for its time, but by today's standards it is really quite tame.

Can I also add the Spectro parade? It's not a ride but I found it really disapointing. When we went in Jan so many lights were out on the parade, and it felt so old but not 'old enough' to be vintage and cool.

I can't believe nobody has said this one yet - Dumbo! I just don't get why people waste so much time in line for that ride. Take your little ones over and ride Aladdin's Magic Carpets. Same thing just shorter lines.

HAL-LE-LUIA. I could not agree more about Dumbo. It spins around, goes up and down and lasts like two mins. Every other theme park known to mankind has at least one ride like this. On our last trip I suggested to my wife that we skip it. She called me a blasphemer. But after she and my DS 6 waited in line for 40 mins on a humid June evening while myself and DS 2 rode IASM, had some ice cream, relaxed and enjoyed some people watching she agrees agrees that Dumbo should be skipped next time.

By the way, we love Soarin' and Test Track. I'm surprised at all the bad press those two rides have gotten on this thread. And only two posts about how lame Dumbo is.

I don't like... (gasp) Haunted Mansion. I know everybody is obsessed w/ that ride, but I personally don't enjoy it and have skipped it several times.

I do not like the recent update, but I still enjoy Haunted Mansion...I guess out of loyalty now. Sometimes I wish Disney would just leave things alone.

Test Track. I don't hate it or anything, but I only go on it if someone I'm with wants to go. It just doesn't do anything for me. :confused3

I haven't been on Stitch. I hated Alien Encounter so much that I refuse to even try Stitch.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.. It's the roller coaster that tries, but IMO fails..

And is it me, or does it seem like they have slowed it down? When we went in 06' it seemed like it was crawling along...like a train.

Mickey's Philharmagic.
It is a fun enough mild 3d movie but just a C ticket for me.

'Soaring is a great Pleasant ride but is only a D ticket to me

it's a small world, by far, is the most overrated ride. Walt seemed to love it, but it just doesn't live up to the Walt Disney name to me. Not only the dolls and scenery, but the show building itself.

Realistic ones. I mean, it doesn't transition, it just flashes to another scene. If your going to go from mountain to city, at least make it look like they're next to each other.

actually I think that's what makes Soarin so realistic...because in California you can see the ocean, the mountains, the desert, and even the Golden Gate Bridge in a single day.... for us it's an awesome ride...I have been to all the places they soar over and it brings back so many memories, I can't wait to go on it in Dec...

for me the most over rated ride is Stitches Great Escape...at least the line is never more than 5 minutes long though

I don't think Kilimanjaro is overrated. I think it's a brilliant engineering design (though, that's my opinion) and it makes me appreciate the ride more than a zoo or a drive-through safari park. I do like most rides because of how they work, though. PLUS - it's Animal Kingdom! Not a zoo. ;p

I also like Haunted Mansion because of the illusions they applied - even though the tricks are old, they still execute them well. I do wish the outside were more like DL and that they had the HM holidays - but only because I LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas. I think, too, if POTC were more like DL, I'd like it more, too.

Same with Splash Mountain. I just don't like how gypped I feel when I go to DL and then go to WDW and see that the rides are shorter.

But this applies more heavily to Space Mountain! That ride is a total rip-off - especially if you rode the one at Disneyland!! It doesn't have music, you can see the track, it's rickety and bangs you around! That ride in WDW is a total disappointment. The DL one doesn't go much faster than it, but at least the music and the fact that the track is smooth, and you can't see it makes it a very awesome experience. (And I REALLY love the music - by the same composer who did Speed Racer.)

Other disappointments: Stitch, Monster's Inc, Nemo (these rides are just not cute enough to make up for the lack of stimulation they provide), Toy Story Mania (it's just not worth the wait, especially when it's not that much different from Buzz), Narnia, Dumbo...and I enjoyed It's A Small World as a kid, but, like a lot of MK rides, it really needs an update or something.

And pretty much...all the rides at Epcot (except TT - I do like it for some reason) need to go and be replaced with something worth the wait. I love Epcot. I love the shops, the food, and all the stuff there is to look at...but I really don't like the Figment ride (the old one was better), I don't like Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Mission Space, Spaceship Earth (what a boring subject...almost as bad as the Carousel of Progress), the Mexico and Norway rides need an update or something, and, of course, Soarin could be better.

As for shows that I don't like:
I don't care much for the parades and block parties. I remember a time at MGM where they'd have parades based on the new movies coming out and I really miss that. And even when they weren't based on movies, I remember the parades being a bigger affair than they are now. It seems like the parade floats are getting smaller and less detailed.

SpectroMagic, also, isn't as cool as the Main Street Electrical Parade. I feel like that parade had more lights and glitter somehow. And they floats are soooooo tall! My favorite was the Captain Hook one. It shoots.

I also think Wishes isn't as cool as "Remember Dreams Come True" at Disneyland. =\ I wish they'd stop giving Disneyland all the good stuff.

But don't get me wrong, I'm a total WDW fangirl. I'll still ride these rides and have a nice time. It's just if I were to nitpick.... ;p
