most over rated ride?

Even though it's not an actual ride, I always thought Lights Motors Action was way over-hyped. While I was happy to see it once, I don't feel the need to see it again.

Oh, so glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. And the hike to get there and the hike up the stadium.....oye! And you sit in that sun with no shade. Ofcourse, as with my other post about TT, I really don't like the smell of burning rubber........gives me a headache. Can you tell I don't like this attraction? :lmao:

let me put it to you this way, they could turn that attraction into a restaurant, a play area, a DVC advertising area or even a bathroom and I think it would be a better use of the space.

TA!! :lmao: :lmao:

Well, as someone who took her advice - and read about how crappy Stitch is - maybe she does. I don't know, we didn't go on.

BUT, you'd think that if a ride that could generate such a reaction in someone, you just might want to consider replacing it with something.

Sometimes, decisions by Disney execs just baffle me.

Yea, they missed the mark BIG time with this one, imo. When your 3 kids ride it once and don't ever want to go again, you know somethings not right........and my kids will ride almost anything....Pooh, PPan, astro-orbiter.....:rotfl:

I would agree with you about that because I thought we would go down a lot faster, so that was disappointing.

CR Resort Fan..............after reading your posts in this thread, I think you could plan a park tour for me and it would be about the same one I would do for myself. It's kind of freaky how you and I think (with the possible exception of TT....if you pick that one, I suppose I'll ride it again  ) .........AND, CR is the deluxe resort I want to stay at the most!

Maybe it's the "northern" air!

I think the ride in Norway at Epcot is somewhat overrated. It doesn't get a lot of hype, but the line is always long and it is really not very interesting.

I personally love Soarin and Test Track and all of the Nemo things, as well as all of the other things mentioned.

The thing I'm not a fan of is Honey, I shrunk the audience. That is not a very good 3-D show.. and why would they bother theming it after a movie nobody knows about. There are so many more classic movies that don't have any attractions that they could make a ride or show out of. i don't know

I can't believe nobody has said this one yet - Dumbo! I just don't get why people waste so much time in line for that ride. Take your little ones over and ride Aladdin's Magic Carpets. Same thing just shorter lines.

Maybe it is.

When the movie came out in 1989 it was a huge summer surprise hit brining in over $130MM. The attraction is showing its age. At 14 years old, it is in need of a change.

OP said rides, but if we're doing shows, too, then I want to add NEMO.

Thanks. :)

I think Stich's Great Escape is pretty lame. My family and I skip over it every trip. I don't need to sit through that any more than once.

I totally agree. Last time we went, my son wan't big enough, but this year he will be and wants to go. I keep telling him it's really not fun, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to sit through it one more time:(

I am pretty positive when it comes to most of the stuff at WDW. Love Soarin, Test Track, Mission Space etc...

There are very few rides I think are over-rated.

Stitch sucks, but everyone knows that. I think Narnia is worse. IMHO worst "attraction" in WDW, but most people admit that as well.

I really really am not a fan of the nemo ride... I usually end up riding it though as something to do that only takes a few minutes. I'm glad to see that others aren't that big on it either. I just feel like it a very very lazy attempt at a ride.... Besides the actual tanks (which are often empty when riding past) there is only two other scenes that i find a bit impressive... the EAC and the fish with the light.... Even the jellyfish scene looks like something out of a grade school art class. I just hope they realize by slapping a well loved character's face on a ride doesn't make it a hit.

Also Kali River Rapids.... I honest to god prefer my local amusement parks non themed rapids ride built in 1985. Kali is seriously like 3 minutes long... I only rode it once with a Fast Pass and the actual like I believe was 45 minutes long. I cannot fathom waiting that long for such a short and weak ride. I mean I love rapids rides, but that one needs a lot of work... They really should add more track or get rid of it ... MHO.

Also I like wishes, but living in Pittsburgh and seeing fireworks pretty much every other night in the summer.. I don't love them as much as everyone else, and I much prefer Fantasmic to Wishes, but I do still think it's an impressive fireworks display

I actually would add the Nemo ride. That ride is soooo lame! Really a disappointment!

Cool-Beans- I like your posts but that little bug has to go. :)

I don't think Stitch belongs on an overrated list as it is pretty much universally hated anyway.
The story about the frantic woman running from guest to guest warning of the evils of the Stitch ride really cracks me up. I can totally visualize this.

I wonder if Disney would or could do anything or remove a guest if they were actively discouraging other guests to avoid a particular ride, show, or restaurant.

My vote would be the Pooh ride.
Aside from one cool special effect (Pooh's dream- him floating) this is really a very basic dark ride. I don't know what I was expecting, but was very underwhelmed after seeing all the crazy wait times and fastpass return times.

ok, so we all have our favorite rides. but, we also have those rides that everyone else seems to go ga-ga over and we dont get it. so whats yours?

for me its soarin. it bores me. and i couldnt believe i waited 45 minutes to ride it.

DH calls this ride "Boarin" he only rides it *** I like it.

So true, and Carpets hold more people per, well, carpet, right? And the controls are better.

Test Track. I stil think it is ok but I have to admit standing in line the first time hearing all the cars go by above I was thinking Oh lord! Then when I was getting off I said so when was it supposed to go fast?
