Most Offensive T-Shirt Message Seen At Parks

As a parent of an almost 14 year old girl - I am constantly surprised at some of the t-shirts she thinks are hilarious So far only one has had to go back to the the store "Save a horse, ride a cowboy". I could not beleive she thought I would let her wear that!!! My guess is that alot of the unsupervised teens you see wearing those shirts - the parents have no idea it is in their childs wardrobe. I am sure if my DD thought she could, she would try to sneak a couple of inappropriate shirts. She is still trying to convince me me that the one that says "Yes they are real" accross the chest is OK for her to wear - NOT!! She is a 32 C going on a D, and only 105 pounds!!! While I raised her to be pround of her body - I did not raise her to be inappropriate.
So far she follows the rules - but when she is 16 - who knows? I remember hiding two shirts from my mom as a teen - one had a big leaf( and said "This bud's for you", another had references to the same.( I am a former wild child gone good).

If the parents know - well I think that is very very odd, as WDW is NOT the place for these kind of shirts.

Thankfully, it's his right to wear that shirt if he so desires.

They have every right to wear anything they want.

Some folks need to practice what they preach...just as it is someone's right to wear what they want, it is also someone's right to say what they want.

That aside, it is against Disney policy to wear offensive clothing...so I don't think robinb was being out of line.

As a Mom to a 4yo who has been reading since he was 3 1/2 - Thank you! Why in the world should I have to explain what "Swallow B---- Swallow" means to a 4yo! Let alone at Disney. Even without an explanation, he is likely to start shouting it to the crowds. You want to talk inappropriate!? How many people would say something or be upset if my 4yo DS yelled that at their wife/daughter/girlfriend?

Not at WDW, but at another park there was a boy with the "F word" really large on his shirt. I pointed it out to a worker and the guy had to put his shirt on inside out and leave. They couldn't believe he was let through the gates.

We got back from MK last night and the only thing that shocked me was the group of ladies from 50's down to about 8ish wearing those mickey stickers they give out directly over their chest area...can I say that? That one kind of grossed me out to see children doing that.

This hits close to home as my just turned 13stepdd has a body that makes every boy (young and old) stop and gawk! I am upset at how little modesty she has too... she has a tee-shirt that says "brunette in a blondes body"... can you believe her mother let her buy this while school shopping? It's funny sure, but not for a 13 year old girl. She also ONLY wears push-up bras and very very low cut shirts. It drives my DH (her dad) insane... she doesn't even know enough to cover up in front of her own father. I told her last weekend that it's not just boys her age that are giving her attention - it's old, fat, sloppy, disgusting men too... and it really opened her eyes a little bit (I think/hope).

As for the shirt debate... I'm just enjoying reading them... hoping I don't actually SEE them at disney in 3 DAYS!!!

Are you telling me that you honestly think wearing a t-shirt I mentioned is appropriate in the Magic Kingdom? Then perhaps you need me to explain the meaning of the t-shirt, which I will be happy to do in private.

And if I have "the nerve" to go up to someone who is so insensitive to wear something like that in an innocent place like the Magic Kingdom where there are many young children around, then Bully For Me! If I embarrassed him and his family and made them uncomfortable then too darn bad. How many parents and children did they embarrass and make uncomfortable? How many people were too afraid to confront him? My only regret is that I didn't tell a CM about him so he would be forced to remove the t-shirt.

I am not saying you are wrong or right. But, no one has the right to judge anyone. If you don't like something, let Disney take care of it. You should have brought it a CM attention or someone at Guest Relations and let them handle it.

I thinks it is great that you said something to that kid with the nasty shirt, Robinb. It is disgusting and so out of place at Disney. I wouldn't have had the nerve to say anything but more power to you. And I don't think that a shirt calling a woman the "b" word and suggesting what it does is the same as someone wearing a jesus shirt. I don't think that a shirt about jesus is offensive even if you don't believe the same. But that boys shirt is just plain offensive to all.

FCUK is a brand: French Connection UK. It took me a lonnnngggg time to read that and not read the F-word . I have seen it a lot at WDW and thank goodness the brand is less "hip" because I have seen it less and less.

I too have seen security tell a couple who were both wearing shirts that were way out of control that they had to change their clothing "BEFORE" they entered the parks. The women started to get loud with the officer and someone in the next line yelled something at her as well as who she was with and they turned around and left. Several people started to clap and cheer..LOL.

Sometimes I have no idea where peoples heads are at when it comes to how they look in public. I was very glad to see that security officer say something.

Freedom of speech would be the right that allows a person to verbally express their disapproval, or approval for that matter. One person has the right to wear a shirt with a vulgar expression in public, and another has the right to object. Florida is in the United States of America.

I like the "save a horse, ride a cowboy" but I would NEVER let my under age child wear that. Once they are older and out of the house, I don't have any control on that.

My DH is an avid hunter and I just purchased one that says "save a deer, mount a hunter". Not really offensive (mount, meaning on the wall like a deer head, which is shows a deer rack)...

I'm sure the hunters don't like it but oh well...I'm tired of the deer heads on my wall...they gotta go soon!!!

I haven't seen any of these but they are disgusting. Doesn't anyone have self respect anymore? i don't get why anyone would want to wear those or the ones like them. Have some self respect! To bad they can't send them away at the gates to go change into something more kid/family friendly.

This behavior does not surprise me in the least when you see adults on these forums everyday posting how they scam Disney, disobey rules and guidelines that are in writing, lie about occupany levels to save a buck, lie about how old their child is for ticket purposes, tell their school admistrators to shove it, when school policy interferes with them going to Disney during school time to avoid the crowds, heat, etc.

The reasons they come up with to justify such actions is at times laughable. I could almost respect someone more that would just say, "I know it's wrong, but I am going to do it anyway", than someone that comes up with a ridiculous justification.

It is all a breakdown of having good character and deceny. Children learn from the behavior of others.

It should be noted that WDW is not a "public place" such that they do have the ability to restrict clothing and such. People have the right to wear whatever they want while walking down the street but Disney has the right to restrict clothing. What is offensive is a tough one to decide. Sort of like obscene. I can't define it but I know it when I see it.
