Ditto! I'm going to be an emotional wreck tonight when I get home - I'm going to beg to see our planning video and my DH is going to sigh and shake his head and roll his eyes at me.

Rick, congratulations! That sounds sooo perfect.

This thread and the "When Did You Know Disney Was Magical" thread both have me in tears today. I'm not the one who asked, but thanks for the location of Belle's library. I've got to see that next trip. Belle is Mommy's favorite princess.;)

I think the one that stood out for me is we had got ressies for the Princess Breakfast and spent the day at the MK- My friend wanted to get Ariel's autograph so we stood in line- We were used to the basic autograph and picture thing as we were4 college kids- When it was our turn Ariel was amazing- she gave us the same magical treatment as any little girl would get and personalized all our books with princess ____ love ariel- It was soo kewl!

As for my all time Magical Moment its a Disneyland one but still my favorite- We took my 4 (almost 5) year old daughter to DL when it became clear to us she wasnt going to survive her leukemia. She had been talking about it for weeks eventhough she'd been numerious times- The one thing she insisted on was meeting Mickey-

So early in the afternoon we headed back to ToonTown and to Mickeys barn. We stood in line and because it wasnt very busy we got to go in by ourselves (that and we were a group of 10) When we entered Lex went and hugged Mickey- After everyone else had done the hug and picture thing Lex went up to Mickey and asked if Mickey wanted her to tell Walt anything when she got to heaven. This surprised me as we never had really had the heaven talk and although she asked me who the man with mickey was earlier the trip and I told her it was Mickey's dad- when she asked if she could meet him I told her he was in heaven-

Mickey nodded and took her book and wrote that to tell Walt that he missed him and loved him. Lex took her book back, closed it and told Mickey that she wouldnt forget. Well by then there wasnt a dry eye in the room.

Later that night we saw Fantasmic and while normally Lex didnt pay all that much attention to the show especially the "scary" parts that night she didnt move staring mesmorized at the island. After the show ended she leaned back and said out loud to Mickey that she wasnt scared anymore- If he could fight the bad guys so could she.

As we exited the park Lex asked to go visit the Partners Statue (which had always been our familys meeting spot) so she could tell Walt and Mickey goodbye. When we got there she turned and told them she had a fun day and told Mickey she wasnt scared anymore and Walt that she'd see him soon.

It was that day I relized that Lex knew alot more than we gave her credit for. Little kids are alot smarter than I think we realize. I know we never discussed with Lex that she wasnt going to survive her cancer or how much longer she had- But right after that trip she turned for the worse and less than 2 weeks later she became an angel. Its now family tradition to say goodbye to Walt and Mickey on our way out. For Lex and all the kids who Disney was their final wish.

Okay enough of the sappy- on to happier memories :)

Oh, Emily, really, thanks for sharing, and I am sorry.

I now have to go close my office door, though, because the tears are just streaming.

That last post, the first to make me cry after spending at least an hour a day on the boards since October......

Thank you for sharing it with us

I will never look at that statue the same again. It has more meaning to me now. It's funny how I read these stories and I feel so close to you guys - I feel like I will be thinking about all these stories while I'm at WDW next!

Magical moments seem to be rather easy to come by at WDW. And that is what makes it the most magical place on earth. I think at WDW we live like kids and kids find magic in everything. If we put on our Disney goggles at home who knows how many magial moments we would have.

My favorite moment of from this years trip (and one of my favorites of all times) is short and sweet. We were on the monorail after Wishes on one of the last nights of our trip and my 4 year old son, who was standing and "holding on to the handrail" like he did every time we were on the monorail (even if we were the only ones on it) let go walked over to me. I leaned down to him and he reached up and hugged me around my neck, and said softly "Thank you for taking me to Disney World" My first reaction was to ask " did your mommy tell you to say that" she heard me and asked what I was talking about so I sent him over to tell her the same thing. He hugged her and thanked her too, she started crying and I did too. It was very moving! HE'S FOUR! My parents took me when I was 12 I know I didn't thank them. I'm 29 now but when I got home I called my parents and thanked them.

Keep 'em coming!

That statue will always seem more special from now on...

Thanks for posting and God Bless the Children for they are Brave and Loving.

I'm sure that we will all remember your precious little angel everytime we visit.

I've got a few from a CM perspective! :)

In November, I was on parade duty at AK. I was stationed in one of the wheelchair viewing areas, and ended up talking with this adorable Wish kid...a girl of about 6 or 7 named Lauren. She was strapped in a chair and had a problem raising her arms- they'd start to shiver and shake a few inches up. Anyway. I got down on her level and started chatting with her, and she would just ask me all sorts of questions. Suddenly, she kept saying "Where are you? I can't see you." Now she had glasses on, so I don't know if she really had trouble seeing or if she was teasing me. I asked where she wanted me to go so she could see me, and she said "Up." So I stood up. Then. "Ok, you can go down again" The next thing I know, she has me popping up and down like a jack-in-the-box! In fact, my legs were sore for a few days after that. lol. She was getting a huge kick out of ordering me around. Lauren asked her sis to take a pic of us. I stayed with her throughout the whole parade.

The other day, it was my turn to teach the Lion King audience the handjive. I spotted an adorable little girl of about 3 in the elephant section dressed in full Alice in Wonderland right down to the Mary Janes and long blonde hair. I picked her to help me out, and she could hardly contain her excitement. I found out her name was Reanna, and told her we were going to say hi to everyone and show them the handjive. I shouted out "Hi Campers!" Reanna jumped up and down "Hi campers! Hi campers!" but as I tried to explain to everyone that we were going to do the handjive, she took my hands and kept making me spin around in circles with her. This happened with all 4 sections as I would try and teach them the motions. I couldn't stop laughing! This kid just cracked me up! I don't think she ever once actually did the handjive with me but she was by far the most ethusiastic camper I've ever seen! She later got chosen to join the show during "Lion Sleeps Tonight," and I could tell she charmed the performer who her chose her as well, giving the young woman a big hug.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I will never pass that statue again without thinking of your little one. God bless.

I have two magical stories to share, one is really happy and the other one is a little sad.

My first story was for my tenth birthday when my Mom and Dad took me to DL as a complete surprise. I didn't know where we were going until I saw the bus sign that said anaheim(which is where I was told we were staying)/DL (I had no idea exactly where DL was at the time!)
That was definitely one of the best trips of my life, and my parents even booked my birthday breakfast at the DL hotel complete with candy confetti on the table, characters mickey waffles and a ride on the monorail.

Four months before my father passed away from Cancer, we went to WDW (my mom, Dad, Nana and myself). I will always remember riding space mountain, splash mountain and Thundermountain with my dad and eating chocolate mickey ears with him. Even though sometimes its hard to think of that trip as it was the last one with my dad, I will always have those happy memories from that trip.

Emily, thanks so much for sharing your story, it really touched me.

Emily, thank you for sharing your story with us. My God bless you and your family and always watch over your little angel.

My most magical moment was standing on the bridge to the Italy Isola watching Illuminations with my brand new husband while surrounded by family and friends who had made the trip to Florida for our wedding day. It was truly a breathtaking moment that I will treasure forever.

When DD was 10, we attended E-Night at MK. We decided to return to the hotel about 11pm. As we started down Main Street, it was practically deserted. Everyone was off at the rides or in the stores. DD started dancing. Not just a little dance. She moved back and forth across the street. She'd taken a lot of dance lessons and was putting them to good use. She danced the entire length of Main Street. I just followed along behind her. There was one couple behind us who followed us down the street. They were getting a real kick out of her. When we finally got to the gate, DD said that she was probably silly for dancing. I told her that it was wonderful. After all, how often do you get to dance down Main Street at the Magic Kingdom!!

My most magical moment at WDW would have to be 2 years ago. It was my birthday and my dad took me to Chef Mickey's to eat breakfast. Well apparently he told them it was my birthday so they sang Happy Birthday to me and brought out a cupcake for me to eat. This was the moment, when Goofy came over and sat with me to help me eat my cupcake. He blew bubbles with me and gave me a great big hug! It was really an unforgettable moment!

Thanks......Good question!!::yes:: :wave2:

I had been kind of purposely avoiding this thread since my timer is getting low and I didn't want to get too emotionally hyped up too early... HAH forget that! Emily your story particularly touched me. God bless you and your family.

While I have nothing as marvelous as some of the posts I've read here, I have a head full of memories of small WDW moments that all involve my kids. On our most recent trip DW took DS back to the room while DD-6 and I stayed in MK one evening to see FITS and Spectro. We had a great father-daughter date, visiting characters, riding TTA at dark, watching Tinkerbell fly, etc. I will long remember the ear-to-ear grin she had that night -part joy, part gratitude, part security. What a perfect evening!
