Most Magical WDW Moment?

Just wanted to say that Katdb's and Disney Emily's posts were extremely touching and hit very close to home for me. My family had always wanted to go and could never really afford to. When my sisters and I were 14,11, and 9 we found out my father had lung cancer. We vowed to be able to go , but unfortunately were never able to before he passed away. The first time we went was the Christmas after he passed away, and I will always feel close to him when I am at Disney. I feel like a part of me is always there with him.
On a lighter note, I have 2 memorable moments to share. I have found at Disney that the CMs focus a lot on small children when creating MM so it's nice to see the "big kids" get in on the fun sometimes. The one moment that sticks out in my mind is when I had my grandma posing at MGM ready for me to take her picture. As I got the camera ready, the Blues Brothers were walking behind her headed back to their headquarters after a performance. The ran up behind her and all lined up beside her with big cheesy grins and one of them put his hat on my grandmas head. She smiled the rest of the day :D
The other time is when we were there in 1998 for WDW's birthday. We had gotten to the MK at night on our first day there and had seen all the wonderment and awe of Cinderella's Castle. We went to bed and got up early the next morning to do MK again for the whole day. When we walked in and saw that the castle was a giant cake it was unbelievable. The more amazing fact is that they did it all OVERNIGHT! It was so cool!

I LOVE THIS POST!!

sorry to shout but this is the loveliest, sweetest and most happy thread ever this should be a whole page on the website and everyone should read it to know what a magical place Disney is it's like no other anywhere and i love it and after reading this i love it even more

My DH's MMM is when we were there on Nov 28th, 2001. We were waiting in line for the raft to Tom Sawyer Island when Mickey and Minnie were escorted to the front of the line. We got on the raft with both of them. The cast member that was escorting them mentioned that Mickey and Minnie had celebrated their birthday on November 18. My Husband's birthday is also November 18 and when Mickey and Minnie heard that they walked over and hugged him and posed for pictures with him. We were told that it is very rare to get pics with Mickey and Minnie together, but to also celebrate a birthday. It was priceless.
My favorite memory is when my ds Nick was 5. We were at MGM and he was pulled into a street show. It was a spelling bee and he was not a good speller at the time. They asked him to spell his name, ET and Dog(which he spelled dof, big laugh from the crowd). Well he ended up winning the spelling bee(of course). He talked about that for weeks. He was so proud of himself.

My most magical moment was experiencing the Kiss Goodnight (I think that's what it's called) at the Magic Kingdom.

(1) Walking into Wilderness Lodge for the first time and seeing the stunning lobby.

(1A) Seeing the look on my wife's face when we walked into a Savannah view room at Animal Kingdom Lodge instead of the parking lot view room that I told her we had.

Could name a bunch, but these work.

Completely and utterly tear-jerking and i am nearly 38 !!!!!!

My wife and our 5 daughters (aged 3-9) spent a week at WDW in mid March.

Our most magical moment was on Monday, when we had reservations for a late morning breakfast with the princesses at CRT. As we strolled down Main Street toward the castle, all the girls in their matching Princess T shirts, a friendly and chatty cast member named Brick stepped off the sidewalk and began speaking with us about what was going on that day at the MK.

After speaking for a few minutes, he confided that he was on a secret mission from Mickey Mouse and needed our help. He then asked us to be Grand Marshalls for the parade that afternoon.

At the appointed time, we met and climbed aboard the old timey firetruck for our ride around the MK. Brick was great, taking pictures of our family in our matching Mouse Ears and while on the firetruck. At the end, we had a great viewing space for the parade right next to Town Hall.

Hard to beat princesses and parades in 1 day.

The kiss goodnight happens when MK closes. The lights on the trees on Main Street do this twinkly thing (different from their regular twinkly thing) and there is music and some narration. I don't remember what it says, I know this is not a good summary!Maybe someone else remembers it better. It was very magical and a great way to end an evening in the MK. I remember that it made me cry and I wanted to leave the park even less afterwards.

My most magical moment was when we were watching the spectromagic parade, and there was this lady in front of us, videotaping and bawling. She was so caught up in the magic. I have to admit, I got teary too, and when we go in July, I'm gonna have to pack the kleenex!!!

Well, mine occurred during this past weekend's trip to WDW. I was wearing one of the two Buzz Lightyear T-shirts that I own, when I saw Buzz right by Cosmic Ray's. I waited in line for my picture with him. When it was my turn for a picture, Buzz happened to notice my shirt and gave me a thumb's up and other hand motions, as if to say that he really appreciated it.

The best part was after the picture was taken. I was getting ready to leave, when Buzz KISSED me!!!!!!!!! :lovestruc
:teeth: :hyper:

Talk about a way to relly make my trip!! I'll NEVER forget that moment!!! :lovestruc

My dd was exhausted after a day in MK. She sat down on a bench next to a statue of Goofy (near Tony's) to take a much needed rest. She nearly jumped out of her skin when Goofy started talking. We laughed so much. It was one of those "Disney magic" moments.:p
