Most Magical Moment???

What is your best Magical Moment? We've only been to WDW as a family once but DH & I have been several times before that.. We have tons of magical moments.

One of my favorites is with my younger brother. DH & I are very close to my younger brother & sister (they spend as much time with us as they do my dad & my step mother) so when we went to disnery in Feb 07, we took them with us (the kids not the parents) Otherwise, they would never get the chace to go as dad & sm would never spend the money for that (or really anything fun for the kids... that's a whole other topic!!!)

DS1 was 6 and ds2 was 3. Dsister was 8 and dbrother was also 6. Anyway, we all enjoyed ourselves, but something that stood out for me was during the Wishes fireworks, we were watching from the bridge to tomorrow land when dbrother just sighed and (very quietly) said, I guess dreams really can come true!!! both DH & I had to look away and wipe our eyes -- it was so sweet!

My first one was when we went with DD the first time. She was 4 and we took her to the pirate and princess party and she got to see all the princesses and she was sooo excited. Her little face just lit up.

Second was last august when we took the kids back and DS was 18 months and he saw mickey mouse for the first time. His little face just lit up too and he started saying "mouse, mouse, mouse!!!" HE was soo excited. So worth it.

I cant wait to have more magical moments this september!!!

One of mine was when We were leaving WS and going out the International gateway. We turned the corner and there was MICKEY. Just standing there by himself!!!There was a lady and child who were just walking away .....
Great pictures opportunity and how fun. My DH still talks about the look on my face.LOL

I'm sure we will ahve so many more once we go in April with our daughter who has never been before!

Mine is on my sons very 1st day in MK. We had just walked down main street and were going to go into the castle, we had walked up a bit when mickey and minnie were coming out of the castle. Minnie then walked towards my son and took him by the hand to the front of the castle so that he was 1st in the queue. She then had a dance with him and kissed him on the cheek before taking him over to Mickey, again holding his hand all the way.

My son was only 4 and that was his 1st experience of ever meeting a character and he just loved it, although he did wipe the kiss away . Luckily DH was quick thinking and videoed it all.

Mine was our first day in MK with my 4 yr old. We went on Dumbo and she was so enthralled with it all , and said "Mommy it is so beautiful"I started sobbing like a baby.

On our 1st trip this past June, I had a character meal scheduled for each day we were there and I kept telling DD this and how exciting it was going to be. Well I don't know what she thought I meant, but I guess she didn't realize that a meal with the characters meant they were going to be there. Our first day was in Epcot and lunch at Garden Grill with the characters. We were sitting in our booth and there was no one in the booth to the left of us and they had just brought our drinks and my daughter's back was to the booth with no one in it and she was coloring. All of a sudden chip, dale and mickey popped out from the booth that was empty and DD looked at me and DH and said they're here, they're really here...wow, I love you Mom & Dad!!! We were all teared up in front of the characters!!! Once she realized the characters were really there, she couldn't wait to eat in the castle with the princesses on her birthday!!!

Mine is of our 3 yr. old's first trip & the moment he saw Mickey & Minnie in the judge's tent. The way his face lit up just melts my heart.

My mom, two daughters and I were riding the boat back from MK to the WL just as the "Wishes" fireworks show started. The captain of the boat said something like, "normally the trip takes about 9 minutes, but I'm going to slow us down so we can watch." It was only the four of us on the open front part of the boat watching and it was beautiful! I started thinking about how people pay huge money for a "private" showing on the water and how happy I was to share this with my mom and daughters. The only thing better would have been to have my dad and husband sitting with us (they were inside the boat because dad had a scooter). As I took a few deep breaths, I started to get teary. I just felt overwhelmly blessed to be sharing the whole thing with my family. *sniff sniff*

A few years ago we were walking into MK in the morning. I walked over to a Disney "suit" to get a Times Guide that he had in his hand. My cutie pie little five year old came running up and he started a conversation with her. He said the she reminded him so much of his own grandaughter. He then asked what we had planned for the afternoon.....then he asked if we wanted to lead the parade. We sat in Walt Disney's blue car with a driver. They sent a Disney employee to take our picture in front of the castle in the car and gave us all Mickey ears with our names on them.

What a treasure. I have the certificate and picture framed. It was SUCH a magical moment.

I have many, too. But one that stands out is from last April at the Pirate and Princess Party. A couple of CM's came up to my kids with an autograph book and pen saying "Oh, WOW! A real princess and a real pirate...Could we have your autographs?"...etc. My kids were so stunned (and a little confused at first), but then thought it was so cool that they got to give an autograph. Actually, the character / cast interaction that whole night was simply amazing. I remember stressing over spending the $$ for those tickets, but it was the best thing we did the whole week.

I have one! It was when we took our first trip in 2006. It was our first day in the parks and we had spent all day in MK. We were waiting to watch Spectro for the first time. My then almost 2 year old DD was so tired and getting very cranky. I was sitting there on the curb next to the stroller trying to quiet her, when a CM approached us and said "Don't cry Princess....the parade will start real soon". He then sprinkled pixie dust on all of us. It was so sweet and defintely spared us a meltdown. She was so amazed looking at all the pixie dust. It was too sweet. We then were able to enjoy the parade. It was great. That is the Magical Moment that sticks out in my mind the most! Thanks for letting me share.

My daughter took her first steps at Disney World, one of the best moments ever!

The most magical moment for us was two years ago. DD was totally into the 101 dalmatians and Cruella DeVil was the next best thing to cracker jacks. I had made her a really cute outfit with Cruella Devil on it, several of the puppies on the skirt and made it look as though the puppies had muddy feet with paw prints all over the skirt. The shirt said "Forget the Princess'-Cruella Devil RULES!

We were at the then MGM studios, watching the parade sitting on the wall near the busts. As Cruella approached, DD got so excited and started jumping up and down. It just so happened that Cruella seen her shirt, stopped the parade basically, and had all the other evil Villians come over to read DD shirt. Talk about a magical moment....but it gets so much better than this.

During this vacation DD was scared of all costumed character and wanted no part of standing in line to meet them. After the Parade, we were walking from our parade spot to the Great Movie ride. About 3/4 of the way there, out comes Cruella DeVil, takes DD by the hand and away they go. Both DH and I was dumbfounded as to what was going on. We rush to keep up with Cruella and DD as Cruella takes DD to each and every Character during the meet and greets. Yes---Cruella being Cruella did not stand in lines--not her rude self if she would have...up to the other characters completely ignoring everyone standing in line to meet the characters. She introduces DD to the characters, had her twirl to show off her outfit-all the time saying "see, she knows-she knows. Isn't it wonderful I have a darlin' like this who knows I rule!" Luckily DH had the sense to turn on the Video Camera and tape the entire thing.

DD met Alice in wonderland, Tweedledee, Tweedledum, Lilo, Snow White, Jasmine, Aladdin, Mary Poppins and the penguins, Pocahontas, Chip, Dale, Goofy, and every other character that was out hour. After they finished their grand tour of all the characters, Cruella DeVil kissed her on the cheek.

Now if you know anything about those magical kisses...CM's will comment on them all day plus many Disney Veterans. When one of them would say "look she got kissed by a princess" DD would Proudly say, "Not a princess, the best person ever...Cruella DeVil.

She wore that kiss for three days, we had to wash around it...my heavens if anything would have happened to Cruella's Kiss.

We have been to WDW several times since then...were lucky to have rec'ved Dreams during Disney Celebration but nothing has ever topped that split decision of one wonderful character. Even now, she talks about how Cruella DeVil kidnapped her.

It was our first full day after arriving later in the evening the night before and we had scheduled brunch in Epcot for the girls. They had no idea what that meant except that they would get to eat lol...

We were seated in auskerhaus in norway and the first princess we see as we come through the doors was Belle. She was in her fancy ball gown and my dd's were so excited. Then as we started eating our meals Princess Aurora came through the magical door and dd (7 at the time) was thrilled to see her favorite princess. not much longer snow white came through, then Ariel and last and totally not expected was Cinderella. dd (3 at the time) Loves Cinderella. She stood up on her dining chair and yells and points "LOOK MOM Cinderella!" the look on her face was priceless. That made the trip for me. she was so happy to have met cinderella!

I can't wait for more magic in 2010...is it here yet??? lol

I think it's awesome how we all spend 1,000's to do these types of trips and the things that stand out the most to us were free, but in turn are priceless... I wanna hear more!!!!

I have 2 that I'd like to share: One was more magical for me, the other also for DS and Ddad.

1). My DS wa 14 months old on our first trip to Disney (June 07). I had learned in February of that year when he was 9 months old that they do "first haircuts" at the Main Street Barber Shop. I decided then and there that DS's first haircut would be there...even though he needed one in Feb. that hair just grew and grew. So, our first stop was the Magic Kingdom Barber Shop, we walked in, had to wait for one other child to get a regular haircut, and then the magic started. The barber lady put him in a booster seat and got to work. She had the most beautiful, melodic voice and reminded me of the fairies from Sleeping Beauty. He was near hypnotized and my baby boy left the MK looking like a big boy. I cried. But, what better place for a first haircut. We have his first haircut ears hanging in his room and his certificate of bravery is stashed away in a safe place.

2.) On our last park day we went to AK. DS had been great this whole trip, taking in the sights, napping when he was tired. We went to Festival of the Lion King as our last stop before we left the park...and thats when my most favorite magical moment happened. DS's face lit up, eyes wide open, oohing and aaahing, actually grunting with enjoyment (you know how babies grunt), and jumping up and down in my dad's lap. It was the most magical moment that I have ever experienced in my 30 years of going to Disney. The tears streamed down my face, I saw my dad (who I had never seen cry) wipe a tear away too.

I think the magic of this had to do in part with the fact that we never expected it. We figured, this was a trip for us to enjoy and that DS would have his turn to discover the magic when he was older (like on this upcoming trip when he'll be almost 3). But no, even the baby found magic!

I have heard that they cancelled the pirate and princess parties for April....but I am not sure because we're not doing it. Call up Disney and see if they are doing it, and if they are, buy the tickets. We did the Halloween Party on our honeymoon and it was great. Definitely worth the tix price.

Our best magical moment occurred when we took our baby to disney for her first birthday in early June 97. We had seen some characters and had pictures taken. DD seemed to like them, in fact, I remember her grabbing Pluto's nose and laughing.

Then one day we went to MGM Studio. Chip and Dale were both there. I took DD out of her carriage, and before we knew it, she took off running right at Chip. She hit him in his lower leg and hung onto him in a bear hug. We couldn't believe it. Chip bent down to hug her. Then she zoomed over to Dale and grabbed him. He bent down and gave her a big a hug. At this point Chip and Dale were about five feet apart, and the peolpe waiting had made a little ring watching this little drama unfolding. Then she ran back to Chip and the whole process repeated itself. Both Chip and Dale stayed squatting down so she could run right into their arms. She went back and forth about four times. I had people asking me if I minded if they took pictures. Go right ahead! Everyone watching was laughing and smiling at the "little baby" who loved Chip and Dale.

DD is now 12, and Chip and Dale are still her favorite characters. When I think of that day, it still brings a smile to my face.
