Most famous person you have met?

Forgot about meeting Slash from guns n roses on a disney cruise with his family! very nice guy! i was one of only a few people who recognized him and just said hi once, left him alone as he was on vacation with his wife and kids. Another one was Ralph Fiennes, such a sweetheart! loved him in my favorite movie Wuthering Heights. DD worked with Dakota fanning when she was 10 and has only great memories. But Robert Redford back in the 80s in nyc will always be my favorite meeting. i was speechless! which was hard for me to do! lol he was at the same restaurant when i was working in nyc. he told me i had beautiful red hair! i told him "you do too!!" lol

He was meeting with President Reagan in DC back in 1981. I think he had just become engaged to Diana. I was visiting the Museum of Air and Space with my 8th grade science class. They had the entire second floor closed while he had a VIP tour. There wasn't much to see in the available area, so my friend and I went outside. A small crowd had gather by his motorcade and we decided to join them. Two seconds later he and his entourage are right behind us. He says hello and shakes my hand.


I became obsessed with all the wedding hoopla that year.

Well aside from the Buffalo Bills when they used to have training camp in my hometown. I met Melody Scott Thomas. She is somehow related to my dad's wife. She went to visit them in Jamestown NY one year so we went home to meet her. Also Terry O'Quinn and his wife shop at the store I work in. I made a post about it here the first time he came in.

Oh! I just remembered a kind of funny story about meeting the person who was premier of Ontario at the time, Mike Harris.

I was working at the time for a social services organization. Premier Harris was not popular at all at that organization as he led his government into making many cuts to services. But he was doing an event and we were asked to send someone. Nobody wanted to go, so we drew names - and my name got pulled out of the hat.

I kind of dilly-dallyed because I didn't want to go, and when I got to the location and checked in and went to the room, everyone was sitting at a big table and there were only two empty seats. I took one. And you guessed it, Mike Harris came and sat down beside me. I was horrified! He started to talk to me, and I tried to respond politely, and then I realized that there were TV cameras filming the event. All I could think was that my friends and family would see me talking to this politician that none of us liked!

So I "accidentally" knocked my purse off the table and had to bend down to pick it up. I stayed down there a long time, pretending to put things back in the purse. He got talking to the person on the other side of him, and then he had to stand up and do his presentation so I got a reprieve.

But apparently there was some film on TV of me sitting next to him and I got teased about it plenty...
