Most expensive Jet Blue Tix I've ever bought!

Look up Jet Blue for 1 ticket and note the price, then type in 2 tickets to see if its the same price, add another for 3 tickets if thats the same, then go for 4. If the price is the same for a 4 tickets at once, then do that... ...If not book them individually for the best price. :cool1:

Any questions?

I had been looking for airfare from Boston on JetBlue a couple of months ago for similar dates (May 12-19). It was that high when I bought my airfare two months ago on American Airlines ($157 round trip, non-stop--flight times aren't as good though).

I think the reason why it was so high, and stayed so high is that they cut the flights from four round trips to three round trips a day, so I think they kept it high so they wouldn't be as overbooked when they cut it down to three.

We are going May 5-12. I check airfare morning and night! I am deciding which one to go with! I wish Jet blue was cheaper for my dates! :confused3

Yeah, I think you have to go with the airline that offers the times that you need. We didn't book through American because they only have one non stop flight that gets into Orlando around 4:30?? 5pm? We are early birds... We get into Orlando at 10am.

We do fly American when we go to the Caribbean. Its amazing that American constantly changes their flight schedule and we've never been notified.. My husband is an air traffic controller at Logan and has seen our flight leave at different times so he calls me to follow up on it.. In Feb. they changed our flight and put us on a flight leaving the night before with a 14 hr layover in Miami! When I called to ask them about it they said that the flight had changed by :10 min.. Long story short, they ended up putting us on the flight that left :10 min after our original flight! Pretty amazing that they didn't tell us.. can't imagine all the people that showed up the day they thought they were flying out only to be told they missed their flight by 1 day :guilty:
Hope you have a great trip!

kam24, have you ever flown Jet Blue? If not.. they have newer planes, leather seats, and direct tv at every seat so that you can pick what you want to watch. *free* You can even look up on their site what is going to be on tv while you fly!

Big bonus for us!!

We booked with Jetblue in early Dec and I'm so relieved. Boston to Orlando round trip was just under $200.00 per person. I thought about holding out for a $39 each way fare but freaked out and bought the tickets anyways. The only other time all 5 of us flew was $500.00 per person with a lay-over, so this trip seemed more reasonable. Good luck to everyone who's still looking. :shamrock:

You may start seeing their prices starting to climb. There is an article about Jet Blue in the new issue of the Readers Digest. In there it is mentioned that their long term fuel contracts has or are coming to an end.

Along with Southwest airlines they were able to lock in lower fuel cost. However as those contracts expire the fuel costs will rise.

I have been watching Jetblue for our June trip flying out of Boston too.

You should have bought your tickets as soon as you knew your travel dates, especially with summer travel. The prices are only going to go up as availability decreases. Don't delay any longer.

Morning-

I'm sorry, & this may be obvious, but another question for this thread. We are hoping to fly JetBlue on 10/7-14, Boston to Orlando. At the moment, the price is $149 & 129 for the flights. If we book now, & the price does go lower(let's say to $100), & we call to receive the credit, then we have 1 full year to use the credit? What if they had one of their "deal's" for much lower? Would they still credit you? And can you only receive the credit once?

Again, sorry for the questions, but we are soooo new to all of this!

I made a previous post that you may want to read on JetBlues pricing structure and ways to check for lower fares by changing passenger #'s, and dates. I have never seen JetBlue lower their fares, they usually increase in $10 increments.

We are cruising DCL in November....we, along with another couple already booked our flights on AA for $178 R/T EWR to MCO....now there are two more families going and the same flights as us are up to $237 pp.....

I told them to wait and see what JetBlue comes out with but that site is driving me crazy....

When they realeased the October dates I was online less than an hour later and the only prices were for $129 each way (sample days of the week that we need for Nov)...that is high.

When do they realease the dates for November?....do they realease dates day by day or the whole month at once?

Thanks for any insight into this.

Our trip is not until September. Should I wait and see if the JB fares come down, or should I bite the bullet and pay the 129.00 each way to make sure that the fare does not rise, and the flights do not sell out?

I keep hearing how airfare will go up, not down because of fuel costs and more people flying so I'm worried that my airfare for October will not come down and I guess I should book at $277 PP but that is SO high!! It's so disappointing.

Anyway, I do disagree though that Jetblue only goes up and never comes down. They periodically have sales. I went on an extra Disney trip last August only because of a Jetblue sale. I bought the tickets probably in March or April. They have many sales throughout the year. Maybe that will change this year but they did in the past.

I had been calling Jet Blue daily for our Sept trip.
One Saturday I called & a representative had told me they were logging in the prices, but that they weren't finished yet. But that prices started at XX amount..
I called back Sunday and they said they weren't out yet. Then, I told them that I had called yesterday and they had given me some pricing. (partly true, she did give me pricing, but not exact prices)... The Rep. said let me check... "oh here they are"... I got $89.. Those prices were not published on their website until Tuesday afternoon. So moral of the story.. just because the dates aren't out on the internet doesn't necessarily mean that they are not available.
Good luck!

Last year and so far this year JetBlue has been losing money!!! Their long term low cost fuel contracts have or are coming to an end. That means they will be paying a lot more for fuel.

Southwest is facing the same situation but may have longer contract terms.

At the end of February we decided to go to WDW in May (only 27 days to go, woo hoo!). I booked the air with Jet Blue at $99 per person each way for the 3 of us.

A few weeks ago was checking our flight info online and checked the rates again for the fun of it, and they went down to $79 pp each way so Jet Blue credited my JB account. When I checked last week, they were up again.

Congrats on the price decrease/credit! It pays to check them frequently.

So prices do come down from time to time!

They do come down once in a while but I guess not too often. I just checked our flights and they are up to $89 BOS to MCO and $129 for return from MCO to BOS. We are flying May 10 and returning on the 17th.

We are flying JetBlue one way from BOS to MCO and then AirTran one way home, it was the cheapest way for our May 6-12 dates.

I just wanted to say THANKS for suggesting to call for the future credit on JetBlue if your fares drop, I just called because ours dropped online and received a $50 credit good for one year - thanks DIS!

MY husband flew with them and loved it! :thumbsup2 With two kids the tvs are a plus! Jet blue also has great flight times. We'll probably going to have to pay and go with jetblue. i really don't want to have to do a stop. Why can't they have the $89 fare for my dates? :confused3 Oh well least we're going to Disney
