Most efficient way to get from Polynesian to Lakeshore Lodge?

I realize that Lakeshore Lodge doesn't exist right now, but I'm thinking about trying to get a peek when I am at the Polynesian in August. I'm interested in seeing the whole area (WL, the campground, etc). What would be the best route using internal transportation?

I agree - ride the boat. You could also take the boat from MK to Ft. Wilderness. Either boat will go right past LL, and the construction walls snuggle right up behind Pioneer Hall and the other buildings at the Settlement, where the boat lets you off.

I just noticed your desire to see WL as well. LL is close to FW (pretty obvious that it will be part of it), so you can disembark the boat at FW and walk around that area or even take the internal bus system through the campground and cabin area to the front entrance and back again to the boat dock.

Then you can take the blue flag boat from FW to WL and disembark there and walk around the Lodge. The blue flag boat makes the circuit from Contemporary Resort to Fort Wilderness to Wilderness Lodge and back to CR. The route might be CR to WL to FW but in any case you can visit all the locations you want via boat!

Sounds both fun and convenient. Thanks!

I’d not call it efficient, but I’d probably take the gold flag boat from the Poly to the MK then walk over & catch the green flag boat out to Fort Wilderness. If it’s after 3, then I’d hop on the blue flag boat at Ft. Wilderness to head over to the WL. If it’s before 3, I’d take the green flag boat from Ft. Wilderness back to the MK & then hop on the red flag WL boat to get out to the WL & back. But, I like riding the boats 😂.
The gold flagged boats run MK/GF/Poly.
The green flagged boats run MK/Ft. Wilderness.
The red flagged boats run MK/WL.
The blue flagged boats do not go to the MK, they run a loop in both directions between WL/Contemporary/Ft. Wilderness & right now they start running at 3 pm.

I am staying at CFW now and there is so much visible construction happening in the Pioneer Hall area of the resort, along with the construction of the remaining new cabin loops. I don’t find it to be disruptive, in fact we have enjoyed checking it all out.

As others have said, the green flag boat gives you a great view of the construction (even standing on the boat dock allows time to take much of it in at your leisure). I may take the red flag boat if I have time, too.

The FW CMs have also been super chatty and wanting to discuss Lakeshore. Some of them are as bad as the bus drivers with their gossiping. 😂 Lots of “it’s going to be part of the same association” (they say resort, but I think they mean association) - obviously take anything they say with a massive dose of salt. They are clearly excited though.
