Most Disney-ish Resort?

I have stayed at only two of the WDW resorts - WL twice and POR twice. I was wondering, for those of you who have visited a number of them, which resort gave you the most "Disney-ish" feeling? :tinker: And why?

After looking at photos of different resorts, some of them are beautiful but don't seem to capture that "Disney" feeling. If I am staying on property, I definitely want as much Disney as possible wherever I am!

Thanks for your help!

Hmm...that's tough-We've stayed at Dixie Landings/POR, WL & the Poly...and they each have their own theme-not too Disney character related but definitely each their own....I would have to guess any of the values...they seem to have a lot of huge animated things.

Without a doubt, the most "Disney-esque" resort of them all isn't even on WDW -- it's in California.

Of course, I am speaking about the Disneyland Hotel which has character theming everywhere you turn.

If you're looking for awesome theming, I'd have to say either AKL or Poly. If you're going for more color or "over the top" imagery, POP would get my vote.

The most disneyish themeing would probably be asmo,my stay there was horrible but many others have liked it. It is the most disney themed hotel at WDW, POP would be a close second. As fas ar moderates go, you can get a Pirate room at CBR.

Good suggestions! We loved the Disneyland Hotel in California, but it's been years since we've stayed there. And we loved all the hidden mickeys at POR and WL!

The values have a great deal of Disney theming, All Star Movies in particular. CBR has Nemo or pirate themed rooms and a pirate themed pool.

All of the resorts have some Disney theming. SSR for example has Donald Duck splash jets, CSR has the Donald Duck topiaries and some of the deluxe level resorts have hidden mickey's in the decor and are attached or very near to a park. POR and POFQ have hidden mickey's in I think the bedspreads.

To me there are two ways to look at theming. Theming that is about characters that Disney created. And theming that only Disney can create. Like the woodsy feel to WL and the tropical theme of the Poly. Theming Disney does so well, you'd swear you were in the places they are modeled after.

But if you want to be surrounded by Disney itself, in and out of your room, All Star Movies is your best bet.

And I also agree about The Disneyland Hotel in California. That one really does it for my Disney meter!

My vote would be for POP ... lots of characters, friendly and super efficient staaff, lots of fun in the dining room and pool areas. Just an all-around great feeling. :cool2:
