I posted this on another thread and it got me wondering. Has anyone else received any really creative college mailings?
My daughter is a junior and the college mailings and advertisements and enticements have been pouring in on a daily basis. Most of the mailings are from colleges that she has absolutely no interest in. However, word must have gotten out somehow that she is interested in majoring in dance because lately she's received a lot of mailings from colleges advertising their dance programs.
Most mailings are pretty standard letters in standard envelopes. Some mailings are glossy catalogs, but the prize for the most creative advertisement that she has received so far goes to Jacksonville University.
Jacksonville Univeristy sent her an oversized, glossy postcard with the words, "Consider your next Stage in Florida" on the front. There is a picture of a dancer leaping on a beach, and up in the sky is my daughter's name written in clouds. It also asks her to visit a website, and the website is mallory.herlastname.juflorida.com. I didn't want to put our last name here, but you get the idea. I though it was quite creative.
Anyone else receive any mailings that have stood out?

I love the colleges that insist on sending the same letter every week. Um, thanks, but one is enough.
