DH and I are still trying to decide where to stay for our trip this December, and I've had no luck in narrowing down my resort choices! The more I look at these boards, the more confused I get!

So, I'd like to know which resort has the most comfortable, relaxing beds in the World. Any suggestions????

There really is no difference in the Disney beds except size IMHO. Linens etc are the same quality (sub standard for "normal" deluxe resorts)

The best beds are the Swan/Dolphin by a LONG SHOT!!!

I second that, definitely S/D has the most comfy beds!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Oh, I would have to disagree with you on that one. The beds at POP Century were God awful. After a few days I was seriously considering moving a Pool Chaise into the room. I have never slept on a worse mattress in all my life.

Now, POFQ had good beds and BC had great beds. I slept like a baby at both hotels.

The beds at the Poly were sooooooo comfy !! BWI's were great too.
We definitely noticed a big difference when we slept at POP after that.

I've experienced the Heavenly beds at the Swan/Dolphin quite a few times, and they are indeed wonderful.

I agree that linens are different at value and deluxe resorts - or if the same thread count, then laundered differently because there was no comparison between GF and POP, FQ,POR...GF had the absolute best bed (so comfy and soft), while POP the least comfy, tho fine.

:)

i honestly can't remember...
the absolute best bed i have ever slept in ever was very strangely in the Doubletree Hotel in Austin Texas (right across from the basketball arena)...
in my entire life i have never slept in a more comfortable bed...

The Heavenly Beds at the Swan are the best. You feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. And if you check out their web site their rates are pretty good to for the location. We have the Swan for $169 a night plus tax a night for Dec 14th through the 17th.

We're staying there for the special Mousefest rate of $159 December 7 - 11 :) Can't for those beds!!

Whichever one I lay down on after a sixteen hour day in the parks.;)

The beds at the S/D are only heavenly if your idea of a great bed is one that's relatively soft. DH and I found the Swan beds very uncomfortable, since we both prefer to sleep on a much harder mattress.

If mattress size is an issue, keep in mind that the value and moderate resorts all have full-size beds. You have to pay extra for a guaranteed king bed, and there are no queen beds at the values and mods. At the deluxes, though, you automatically get a queen bed and can pay extra to reserve a king. But, all mattresses aside, there are lots of other criteria you can use to choose your resort--as I'm sure you know already. For just a few examples: price (that's probably the first consideration); proximity to your favorite park(s); the theming that's most appealing to you; amenities; etc.

One of the problems with reading these boards is that you get such enthusiastic reports about everything, right alongside scathingly negative reports about the very same everythings. It can really be confusing. :confused3 Sometimes it's hard to tell if one is more in line with the positive or with the negative reports about any particular place.

Maybe, ignoring what anyone's saying about any particular place, it might help you to merely look at photographs of the rooms and grounds at each of the resorts and see what most tickles your fancy. There are loads of resort and resort-room photos at allearsnet.com. Check it out when you get a chance.

Choosing a Disney resort is the kind of thing that can drive a person mad...but it's a fun kind of mad! :goodvibes

I've been thinking about this topic a lot lately, planning my 2008 trip, as I'm past the days of being comfortable in just any bed.

From my experience with All Stars, Beach Club, AKL, and CR, the CR beds were the most comfortable. The mattresses are probably the same as in the other resorts, but we noticed a thicker mattress padding at the CR, which made the bed softer but not squishy. Also, the comforters are much softer than the regular bedspreads used in other resorts.
