More To Love, Will You Be Watching?

I know I going to be flamed but I'm sure there are men out there that like "plus size" women so why shouldn't there be a show?

This was not meant to be a negative OP....I'm surprised that everyone only takes the idea of this show as a negative.

Would love to hear from some men.

I'm watching:surfweb:

You are right. There just not a lot of men out there like that. I'm plus size and there wasn't many men want to date a plus size girl.:sad2::sad2:

I never had a problem finding a date, and they were usually decent to good looking guys.

You're right about some guys being attracted to plus size women. They get insulted for being "chubby chasers," but how is it any different from women who like big guys or guys with beards or guys with shaved heads?? Yet they are never insulted for liking those kinds of guys.

I think I'll give it a chance. If it's just a regular show, I'll watch, but if it makes a mockery of these people then I won't. Okay, let me clarify -- if they do things to deserve being mocked that's one thing. But if they're just being mocked for their sizes, then no. We all know that a lot of reality folks just beg for mockery.

I can't stand those dating reality shows... finding your mate shouldn't be a competition.

But I object the idea of a show where everyone is very overweight. Why should only a big guy be interested in plus-sized women? And why should there only be plus-sized women available for him? And then the ads make it sound like they're breaking barriers when all they're really doing is making a mockery of the people on the show because of their weight.

What would be far more of a barrier breaker would be to have a show where there is a good mix of people of different shapes and sizes. Say, if they had a regular "Bachelor" where the man didn't look exactly like a GQ model and the women weren't all size 000.... not a specific "plain joe" show, but just go a different direction with casting future shows.

The problem is when the Bachelor picked the thinner girl everyone would have their panties in a knot that he picked her due to size:confused3

But why do we have to assume that he would always pick the thin girl? Why do they have to cast these shows with people who's values are dictated by society and media? 50 years ago, women who were a size 10, 12, 14 were considered dead sexy in the U.S. (Marilyn Monroe, for instance).

What happened that we've let our media tell us that underweight women are more attractive? Why are we teaching our young women that they shouldn't enjoy food?

They should cast the show with people who are attractive, successful, and healthy.

I'm a plus size girl & I'll be watching as long it doesn't turn into a 60-minute fat joke.

What I'm hoping is that it might be educational for some. Like a PP said, being fat is still open to discrimination & jokes. A person can make a fat joke and everyone :lmao:. But say something negative about anyone else for any reason whether it be lifestyle, religion, or race is no longer acceptable. (and it shouldn't be)

I'd like to see these ladies, who have more to love, be shown as people with emotions, feelings, likes, dislikes, a sense of humor, a personality. And maybe seen thru the eyes of some as more than just a size or number. It may show that fat people are human too.

Yes, I will be watching.

For those who say it not fair for them to be on a seperate show do you think they would make it far with a regular bachelor.

No, they certainly would not - those are cute girl popularity contests. But showcasing, highlighting and celebrating that fact on this new program is disgusting.
